I have a 1973 351 cobra jet mach 1. this is a big project! some one had started the restoration and lost interest. this is where it stopped and this is how I bought it. This is a great candidate for restoration! Have a look at the pictures. Original blue glow exterior with silver striping and blue interior. The only rust is listed in the description. The frame rails, torque boxes, shock towers, rocker panels are all solid. No major accidents, frame rails and cross over braces are excellent. I will list what it has with it first then what it needs. I have owned it for about 3 years and have started collecting parts for the restoration. All the parts are in storage so I have no pictures of them. Here is what is has A clear arizona title, the dash, seats, door panel parts, back seat side panels, back glass, quarter glass, original scooped hood in good shape! (has some light surface rust only) 351 short block in the car (not original, 2 bolt block) interior trim panels, original competition suspension (9inch rear with sway bar), most of the stainless window trim. Here is what it needs cowl patch panel, floor pans, trunk pans, right fender (left side is repairable), tail light panel, right quarter panel (left side is repairable) door glass, windshield, correct CJ engine and toploader transmission, speedometer and tachometer cluster, amp, oil, temp cluster, grille, radiator, and of course all the little things that go along with a restoration. This mustang is priced very reasonably! you can get into this for less than $1000 and have a great start to a cobra jet mach 1! Now here is what I have purchased for the car over the past 3 years that is available separately and only to the winner of this auction (not included in this auction) A 351 4 bolt D2AE cleveland block with 4 barrel heads, a tremec 5 speed (used), toploader 4 speed, original round stick hurst shifter, coast high performance 408 stroker kit, Crane roller camshaft, 4 row modine radiator, original aluminum slotted wheels, tach and speedo cluster, original rear spoiler. A pillar trim. The 408 engine kit, block and heads and toploader can be bought for $2500, the wheels for $400.The other items are also a great buy!
