Vehicle Detail
1951 Plymouth Cranbrook 2 door with 76,000 miles – she’s been well-maintained, and runs and drives extremely well and with no trace of smoke. She has the bulletproof 217 flathead six w/ 3 speed and has had the following work done or new parts in the last 5 years: Please note: The hood closes flush as it should - it is ajar in the photographs because it wasn't closed all the way (so I could take engine photos) I am happy to provide a photo of it closed flush upon request. · Fresh paint (5 years ago) · Radial wide whitewall tires (less than 100 miles on them) · Re-cored radiator, new water pump, thermostat and hoses · Complete tune up w/ new points, condenser, cap, coil, wires, plugs · New electric choke · New carb (one month ago) · 6V electric fuel pump (one month ago) · Bumpers (front/rear) all chrome trim re-chromed within the last 5 years · Brakes completely re-done (new hoses, wheel cylinders, shoes, and rebuilt master cylinder) · New voltage regulator and rebuilt generator (3 years ago) · New headliner, door panels, carpet and upholstery (5 years ago) · Replaced Voltage and gas gauge with NOS units (5 years ago) · New temp gauge (stock unit works, but needle sticks sometimes, so replaced with a new under dash unit) When I purchased this car 5 years ago, it looked great and ran well, and I’ve been making improvements and adding parts since then to make a great package even better. She runs very well, and with the single Smithy’s muffler on her, she has a classic sound. This car is reliable, and makes a perfect cruiser. It gets lots of attention, and you don’t see a ton of these out there. Why am I selling such a great car? I’ve got two baby girls, and I don’t have the time to drive and enjoy this car like I once did, and it’ll be a few years before I’ll have the time again (probably about 18 years, to be exact…) not to mention that letting an old car sit for a long time isn’t a good thing. So here I am – looking for someone to buy this gal and enjoy her like I have and care for her. I’ve got a fair amount of extra parts, manuals and extra trim pieces that I’ve accumulated over the past 5 years, and I’ll happily toss them in with the car. I’m happy to answer any questions about the car, just ask. Thanks for looking.
