This is a 1948 KB-1. It has a complete Chevy drivetrain and front suspension and rear axle. The engine is a stock 305 with a 4bbl. Turbo 350 trans with column shift from GM truck. 10 bolt rear end mounted on leaf springs. The front suspension is a GM coil spring set up, properly jig welded, tracks straight and true. Power steering and power disc brakes. The gas tank is from an S10 mounted inside the frame rails. New dual exhaust. Seat is S10 and has seat belts. Guages are white face VDO. They all work and the gas guage works when it wants to. The blinkers, horn and wipers work as do all the lights. The side windows roll up and down a little sloppy and need whiskers. The front windshield is V-butted. The front cowl vent opens and closes there is no gasket or screen. The door handles operate well. Glove box door opens and closes no box behind door. Now the body. The body is solid and looks pretty good but honestly it is not show quality. This truck is exactly between a Hotrod and a Ratrod. It could go either way depending on your interests. The good part is all the hard work is done and out of the way. What's really nice is you can drive this truck everyday, it drives like a late model Chevy. It would cost more than my reserve to build a truck like this one. If you are looking for a cool old truck that you don't see many running around this one is worth your time. It has a free and clear, clean 1948 International title. The truck is fully insured and plated and is a daily driver. The reserve price is low for a turn key ready to drive antique truck. Take it from front to back. Subframe done. Engine, trans, wiring, power brakes, power steering, steering column, rear axle, gages, exhaust, body work, paint, windows, seat, wipers, horn, blinkers, headliner, radiator, tires, bed, etc. It is hard to find a good truck and do all the work that this truck has already had done. Parts and labor would be twice my reserve if you don't do all your own work and own a parts store and salvage yard, not to mention the countless hours chasing parts and taking up time and space.
