General Motors produced a total of 27,720 Corvettes in 1966. Only 2,380 were equipped with the optional K19 Air Injection Reactor option (AIR), this includes both coupes and convertibles. This Corvette Convertible is ONE of TWENTY THREE that is equipped with the L36 427cid / 390 HP, M20 4 Speed, C60 Air Conditioning, and N40 Power Steering. This could quite possibly be the only Silver Pearl on Silver Convertible equipped with this rare K19 AIR option code. Don’t let this blue chip investment-grade 1966 Corvette slip away! This Corvette is most likely the best restored 1996 Corvette on the planet. It has been painstakingly restored beyond what General Motors was capable of producing in 1966. No money has been spared on every single nut and bolt on this 3 year restoration. This Corvette was a no hit accident free vehicle prior to its restoration. It has been restored to its factory specifications with the only addition of an optional wood wheel. This Corvette is restored to the level where you can not even see all the components behind other components that are show quality on their own. I don’t want to sound redundant, but there is nothing on this car that has not been brought up to national show quality. This Corvette has only been driven to make sure all the bugs were worked out. Only about 5 miles have been put on since its restoration. It has a total of 57,059 miles on it since it was purchased new. This Corvette has only had 3 owners since it was new. The NCRS Shipping Data Report show it was originally delivered to the Chevrolet Engineering Center at the the GM Technical Center in Warren Michigan. Its first owner, was a GM Executive also known as a “Brass Hat”. Most Brass Hat cars were specially equipped with rare options because they were only produced for the elite high ranking executives within GM. This particular rare Corvette has never been more than 50 miles away from its original owner. This vehicle has never ever been shown to the public before. You can be the first!
