Vehicle Detail

RELISTED DUE TO NON-PAYING AUCTION WINNER! SORRY TO HAVE TO SAY THIS, BUT DON'T BID IF YOU DON'T INTEND TO BUY THIS CAR. I am the third owner of this 1964 1/2 Mustang. I have had it for 10 years. This car is mostly original.... It was titled at first sale June 26, 1964, and I believe it was built June 25, 1964. It has a 289 V-8. It has no power steering or brakes. The spare tire is original or the original type. The second owner stored it in a heated garage (I store it in the garage, but it's not heated.) He also did some minor body work and had the original factory color (Rangoon Red) mixed by Ford and repainted the car. It has a few bubbles and scratch marks on it from things going by it in the garage (snow blower, lawnmower etc...) The fenders also show signs of pitting. (I have a box which I believe includes new fenders and rocker panels should the new owner want to replace them. I will toss the unopened box of parts in the car.) The interior looks pretty good but has carpet fading, as it is black but looks more brownish in some areas especially around the console area between the front seats due to the fading. I believe there is a small hole in one part of the headliner about the size of a nickel, and I included a photo where the seat was stitched. The seats have seat covers on them, and I believe the seats are good underneath, but don't quote me on that. There might be a slight seam in one of them. It also has an old cassette radio player that was changed out from the original factory radio. (I might still have the original radio as well as a box of other miscellaneous original parts somewhere in the basement, but I wouldn't have a clue what the parts are. If I find the box, it will be included.) I also had to replace the "Mustang" emblem on the front and the gas cap on the back due to it leaking and damaging the paint slightly in that area. Remember that the car is nearly 50 years old, so it looks great considering that... I have tried to disclose everything I can think of. I have been told the frame is in excellent shape, and there does not appear to be any rust through anywhere. People have asked specifically about the trunk area from other things I have read, and the trunk looks fine to me. I think it even has the original plaid liner in it. This car "RUMBLES" when you start it, and "ROARS" when you drive it! They sure don't make things like they used to! The only maintenance issue I am aware of is that the car is in need of some new brakes. I drove it not too long ago and they were pretty weak. I am selling the car because I don't drive it, and it needs a new home with someone who can really appreciate it. The side door panel includes the following information: Body Color Trim Date DSO AXLE Trans 65A J 86 25F 31 1 1 I believe this is what I read on the top of the manifold. It's really hard to see: C5OE-9425-A I will not accept any trade offers and I have disclosed everything I know of. Other than the brakes, this car has no known mechanical issues and looks great for the price. It always gets plenty of compliments, and people who look at it reminisce about what their life was like back in 1964 when this baby was brand new! Give it some new memories!
