Vehicle Detail

Here is a fine and rare 1975 Goldwing for the avid Goldwing enthusiast collector. If you are looking at this year bike, you probably already know this is the first year for the Honda Goldwing and only 5,000 bikes were sold that first year (making it the lowest production year for the Goldwing). There are very few of these original first year 1975 "Naked" Goldwing bikes out there that have this low of mileage...only 12,498 original miles. Also, very few that are this old and still in this original condition. This bike has not been repainted, rechromed or rebuilt in any way. The only two primary items replaced on this bike are the rear tire and the belts back in 1993. This was also the last time that this bike has been started. A brief history of this bike: This bike was first year production of the Goldwing in 1975. This Goldwing was manufactured in 3/1975 and first owner only put 3,466 miles on the bike. The second owner purchased this bike in 5/1977 with 3,466 miles and up until 1984, had only put a total of 12,498 miles on this bike. This bike was last registered and titled in Wyoming in 1987. Bike has not been ridden or used since. The second owner put about $700 into this bike in 1993 (20 years ago) with the installation of a new rear tire, changed the belts, changed the oil, added new engine guards and new turn signals to the bike and had the bike running. The seat, paint and rest of the bike are all original. The bike has been in storage ever since and not started or used. This is an all original bike..but it would probably not be considered a "museum" piece in it's current condition. It does have some light pitting in the chrome, the typical oxidation and patina look on the engine, light surface rust on the frame, muffler, ect. The guages have all the typical cracking found in most bikes of this age. This bike was just purchased from the 2nd owner (owned since 1977) last week. Was told that this bike has been kept garaged most of it's life. I am not a collector or naked bike enthusiast. Also not too mechanically inclined. So this bike is being offered at a low and fair price for a collector that can love and appreciate such a fine and beautiful rare bike. All pictures were taken prior to any cleaning or detailing on the bike. I do not know if the metal components can be restored or touched up. Everything is pretty much in it's original condition. Overall in pretty nice condition for a 38 year old classic. I do not know of any cycle shippers in my area. There are many national companies that specialize in transport and shipping of bikes. This Goldwing is located at my cabin in Lakeside, AZ. Arrangements can be made to deliver this bike up to 200 miles or down the the Phoenix, AZ metro area. No deliveries made until payment in full. Full payment is expected within 7 days of end of auction. This bike can be safely stored for up to 60 days. If not picked up within 60 days, the owner reserves full rights to re-sell this bike without any refund to the buyer. This bike is not currently running and will need to be picked up with a trailer or transport company. I can assist on the end with loading. Please ask any and all questions prior to bidding. On Jul-19-13 at 08:23:58 PDT, seller added the following information: Just posted additional pictures of Goldwing this morning. Noticed that I posted incorrect mileage in auction. Actual mileage is 12,448, as seen on odometer (not 12,498). This bike is not currently running and has not been started since 1994, at which time it ran just fine. I will not attempt to start this bike, as the carbs will require to be professionally rebuilt and synchronized prior to use. Happy to answer any other questions to the best of my knowledge. On Jul-19-13 at 08:35:06 PDT, seller added the following information: The small black push button seen on the left front side of the tank cover is a start button, as the original start button on the handlebar is not functional. This was installed at some time by the second owner, who owned the bike for the past 26 years. I would imagine that a new or used OEM handlebar start button could be located on ebay. Otherwise the current pushbutton is functional in place of the handlebar start button. On Jul-24-13 at 21:10:16 PDT, seller added the following information: With only 4 days remaining (ENDING Sunday night)...I just lowered both the Buy It Now and the Reserve price, each by $500. Getting really close to the Reserve on this Rare bike. With such low original miles and the bikes all original GOOD condition, this will be a great addition and bike for restoration for any vintage or Naked Goldwing bike collector. Price on this bike is as low as it will go (if not reaching reserve by Sunday night, will just be relisted at same price for another 7 day auction). With this year's Sturgis right around the corner, this will be a good find.
