Up for sale is a not-so normal 1990 Mustang LX Convertible. It is a true 7-Up Car with a Manual Transmission (Not too many made.). This will make an easy restoration project for a novice. I have owned this car since 2003 and drive it daily every summer (7 months/year). The car runs and drives great. It has 67K miles and no mechanical issues. I converted the Air Conditionaing System to R134 Refrigerant in the summer of 2012 along with a new fan belt, radiator, and hoses. The good: Nice straight body; Mechanically sound; All unique compnents to the car are there; Clutch and transmission work smoothly (for 1990 standards); Engine starts up and runs excellent; No leaks that I can find; Car was rust proofed by original owner (I am owner number 2); Original turbine (GT) wheels. Tha bad: Needs a new roof (Late Model Restoration has kit); Needs new seat coverings (Late Model Restoration has a kit); Needs armrest buttons; Needs Unique Convertible Top Trim brightening; Power door locks do not work (Late Model Restoration has kits); Needs window switches for passenger side door; Body has some parkinglot sits and paint scratches. Overall this is a grea car to work on by yourself and a few buddies. You can even have it done by the Mustang's 50th Birthday. The resever price is fair for a car in this condition. Good Luck Bidding!
