Vehicle Detail
Real vintage race bike for the quintessentially American sport of flat track racing. This bike is in unrestored, as-raced condition. The previous owner told me that he had raced the bike for several years up and down the east coast in the early 70's. I have owned it many years ( never raced it) and would start it and ride it briefly every summer on private property until about five years ago. I have not started it since. It has been properly stored indoors since I've had it. It turns over fine with great compression. The trans and clutch appear to work fine. However, I have never been inside the motor, and knowing how these old bikes were used, I would suspect that it may need a rebuild. Comes with only what is shown in the pictures, nothing else. What appealed to me about this bike was it's original condition, and that it has all the cool stuff from back in the day.. I bought it exactly as you see it, with the exception that the guy had removed the ARD mag for another project. When I got it I put on a new-old-stock ARD magneto that I had. The mag is still like brand new. The motor is from a 1971 650 Bonneville with a Routt big bore kit. I was told by the guy that the motor is 810 cc. I could probably get more money for it if I part it out but that seems like a shame..Bike has:Trackmaster frame & swingarmCeriani fork w/ Arces treesBorrani rims w/ Barnes hubsPirelli & Carlisle tiresARD magneto810 Routt kitMikuni carbsBates seatTomaselli thottle & Amal clutch leverHurst Airheart rear brake I no longer have space (or money) so I am selling some bikes and this one has to go. As is usually the case with these old bikes I have NO TITLE for this bike. Ebay makes sellers put some type of title in the info box above in order to list, but it never had a title. I will provide a Bill Of Sale if you need one. Sold as-is. Absolutely no warranty or guarantees whatsoever. Should you have any questions feel free to ask, but do so before bidding. If you need pics just ask. Winning bidder pays shipping costs or free local pick-up at my location is welcome. It is the responsibility of the buyer to pay for and arrange pick-up & delivery from my location. I will assist as much as I can but you must make arrangements. Thanks for looking!
