Recently repainted, actually. Not even a bugmark! The hood has barely a rockchip. Below the tires sport 70+% treadlife and ride on smooth vibration free rims! Matching Generals up front and I believe Toyos in the rear. 15" versions for cheap replacement when needed! I have driven this car for over 100 miles to ensure it's reliability. It's a pleasure to drive. Great for anyone. The exterior is an easy 8 out of 10. With the minty bumper covers, I would give it a 10. But there are a handful of dings, altho they are extremely hard to find being a white car and all. No signs of major body repairs. No major dents. No visible rust. Paint shines justlikenew2u!! This car looks, runs and drives as a low miler would!! All the lighting works as it should. No damages to the glass or lenses. No worries. The interior is my favorite of all the Volvo interiors...CLOTH seating! It's actually quite rare considering most Volvos came with leather. Think COOL in the summer and WARM in the winter. ESPECIALLY with it's heated seats!! Driver's door panel has seen better days from the constant seatbelt interference along the edge of the panel. But aside a few minor stains, the interior is also an easy 8 out of 10. A deep cleaning puts it well above 9. Otherwise no damages to the cloth or vinyl. Minimal driver's bolster wear. Carpet looks great. I hate smoke and I can't see or smell signs of a former smoker. Steering wheel looks great. Above and below you can see ALL the dummy lights illuminate as they should upon startup with NONE on during run. From what I can tell, ALL the power items work as they should, heated seats, power windows, locks, heated mirrors, cruise, tracion control, transmission modes, hot heat, Air Conditioning needs a recharge and minor repair (see below specifics), dual climate control, AM/FM/Tape Deck, etc. Aftermarket clean floormats are included. Unseen is the complete spare tire setup, intact and aired up for your trip home! Above you can see the compliment of factory manuals, radio code card, and info are included. Along with one factory key and one factory working keyfob. Below the underside of the hood is clean enough to eat off of. The rest is clean as well with some sort of rust-proofing which gives some areas a dirty look since it's on white and all. Above you can see the timing belt was changed recently at 90k miles. I pulled the timing cover to be certain and the belt matches the time period. Also the waterpump has been swapped as well. Below you can see the recent Interstate Battery installed. No signs of any major oil or coolant leaks. Fluids are clean. Oil is clean. Transmission fluid is clean. Engine fires right up and runs smoothly. ZERO noises. Transmission shifts thru all gears properly. Right front strut mounts look recent. Suspension is tight and noise free. Car drives smooth and straight with no unusual pulling or wandering at any speeds. No popping. No squeaks. No rattles. Brakes are strong and noise free. Unseen: I have also repaired the ABS/TRAC unit. This is a common failure on these cars. Dealer will steal $800+ from you for this fix and they replace it with the same failure prone unit as before. It takes me about 20 minutes start to finish to fix it. My repair is better, more reliable and justlikenew2u!! As mentioned above, the Air Conditioning needs repair. I know this is a hassle during the hot conditions outside, but with a NO RESERVE auction, I think a $25 accumulator/dryer and less than 2 lbs of 134a is worth the savings. Not to mention dealing with a seller with EXCELLENT feedback and a history of selling Volvos! For whatever reason, the accumulator/dryer has rusted on the bottom, leaking out the freon. Since this part is mounted on the front of the car, on the right lower side, it doesn't surprise me with it catching all of the road salt and grime since 1998. Volvos generally do not rust, but the parts can. This is simply an exposed and pressurized item, something is bound to fail. No, there isn't any rust under the car. Just this part. Check out eBay item #141004360711 and see for yourself. Less than an hour to install. Recharge and ICE COLD AC for everyone inside!! Otherwise this car is ready for the road and you!
