The seats are almost too comfy to describe. These also feature a variation of Volvo's proven and legendary turbocharged 5 cylinder engine. The engine in the V40 is essientially the 5 Cylinder with one of the cylinders removed to make it a 4 Cylinder. They are very reliable, and get greater than 30mpg! These V40s are becomming pretty difficult to find in good condition, and if you're looking for one, this is the one you should buy. It has wood trim on the dash and doors which add a nice touch. The car has Volvo's Dual Zone automatic climate control which works properly. The car includes the original carpet floor mats and matching trunk mat which are in very nice shape. This car has Volvo's Premium Alpine audio with CD and Cassette. It works and sounds awesome (actually one of the best sounding car stereos of its era). There's even a factory subwoofer in the cargo area! For safety, this Volvo has, of course, dual front airbags, as well as SIPS side airbags. it also has WHIPS whiplash protection to keep you safe in the event of a rear-end collision. This V40 has the premium package which gives you some great features like heated leather interior, a power moonroof which tilts up as well as slides back, wood trim, a CD player, a power drivers seat, and a retractable soft privacy cover for the cargo area. The outside of this V40 is very nice and is finished in a very fresh looking "satin white" color. The exterior isn't flawless, but is actually in very nice condition for a car of its age. It also has a sporty rear spoiler atop the hatch. It does have great looking alloy wheels which suit the car very well. It's got a nice power moonroof which works properly. It is important to note that it has front fog lights which are a fairly rare option on these cars. It also has the rear fog light as all Volvos do. The tires are in very good shape. Actually, they are close to new. The brakes feel good with solid stops and no pulsation. The transmission feels great. All accessories have been tested and work. Including heated seats, air conditioning, and cruise control. The air conditioning is ice cold. The car drives really nicely. The car has Volvo's DSA, or "Dynamic Stability Assistance", which helps you maintain control of the car in difficult situations and adverse driving conditions. If the car begins to skid or slide, it will apply brakes and modulate the throttle to bring the car back under control. It also acts as traction control in difficult situations. The car also has a winter mode which allows the transmission to start out in second gear to improve traction. These features make these cars excellent in winter weather.
