Subarus are known for their world-class sporting performance, and this car is no exception. These also feature Subaru's proven and reliable horizontally opposed 6 cylinder engine which is mated to legendary symmetrical all wheel drive. The 6 Cylinder engine in this outback not only provides more power than the 4 Cylinder version, it also is more reliable. The 4 cylinder versions are prone to head gasket failure. The 6 cylinder engines are not. The gas mileage difference is fairly minor as well. The leather shows nearly no wear at all. The air conditioning works It has 2 zone automatic climate control. This car has the premium audio system (with subwoofer!) which sounds fantastic. There is a 6 Disc CD changer in the dash, and 7 speakers including a subwoofer in the rear deck for fantastic sound quality. For safety, this Subaru has, of course, dual front airbags, as well as side airbags. It also has curtain airbags for the front and rear pasengers. The cargo area is in beautiful condition. The car has the accessory auto-dimming compass mirror with integrated homelink garage door opener. It also has the accessory brushed aluminum door sill covers. It has beautiful natural wood accents with a matte finish, and the wood is extended onto the very sharp MOMO steering wheel. It has power seats on both sides, which are heated and finished in perforated leather. The interior has no bad odors and really smells of the special LL Bean leather. It is fitted with the 5 speed automatic transmission with sport shift and sport mode. It has heated mirrors and windshield washers as well. The original LL Bean floor mats are included, and are in pretty good shape. The owners manuals are all there, and we have three keys to the car. The outside of this Outback is beautiful and is finished in the stunning and very pretty and rare Champagne Gold Opal color. This color is really quite striking. The paint is in very nice shape. Overall the exterior of this Outback is in outstanding condition. The car has the a nice HUGE panoramic moonroof, which only came on the upper-level models. It works properly. The car has wheels which were exclusive to the 6 Cylinder models and are finished in a very sharp gunmetal color. 2005 is the first year for this awesome generation of Outback, and we believe that these are the best Outbacks that subaru ever made, especially with the 6 Cylinder engine. The interior of this car has fit and finish that rivals many european brands, and it has all of the features to match. These are true premium wagons without the premium price tag. This generation is also much better looking than the current generation which was introduced recently. The tires are in very very good shape. This car clearly has been looked after by a Subaru dealer. We have installed new brakes and rotors on the front and rear. The transmission shifts very nicely. All accessories have been tested and work. Including air conditioning, and cruise control. The car runs just great. It's VERY smooth. There is no wind noise in the cabin as is common on subarus as they age. It is nice and tight and is put together very well. The heated leather seats are just fantastic! I really love the feel of the suspension in this car. It's tight and sporty without being harsh in any way. It's actually quite smooth and solid feeling.
