I am pleased to offer this investment quality and very original 1971 LT-1 Coupe. I had this car listed a couple of weeks ago; during this time I was able to make contact with the original owner who told me that he had purchased the car from Don Yenko for his wife; he indicated that there was a good chance that he might have the original window sticker and bill of sale because "his wife (now deceased) kept records about records, and never threw away any paperwork". I ended the auction so that this matter could be played out. The gentleman, who ran a construction company for 40+ years, is still searching through years of files... but has found nothing to date. He told me that he owned the car for about ten years and that his wife liked to look at the car more than she liked to drive it; it had around 3,000 miles on it when he sold it to a long time employee, who also kept the car for a number of years. Body is super strait; we believe the paint to be all original and in remarkable condition given its age; although we want you to be aware that there are some imperfections (cracking) in the paint on the rear deck and roof pillar areas due to age. The Chrome bumpers are also very nice. The deluxe interior is immaculate and original including carpets, seat covers and door panels. All gauges work, fiber optics work, radio and clock work. The underneath of the car is excellent; as the car has been in storage in both PA, NC and FL for most of its life. We have multiple pieces of documentation (including Titles) back in the mid 80's indicating the mileage to be below 21,000. Under the hood is completely original and all numbers are matching.
