Up for Sale is my 1971 Javelin SST. This Car looks as good in person as it does in the Pictures. I originally bought it and was going to swap out the original 304/auto Combination to a 401/4speed, but I recently found a 4 speed that would save me alot of time and headache's looking for all the original parts. This car is a great and reliable driver, and turns heads where ever it goes. Get's alot of comments at the Car cruses. In the year and a half I've had it I've replaced all the brake cylinders and shoes, replaced the tie rod ends and lower ball joints, had the front end Aligned, replaced the oil pump, fuel pump and water pump. Had the Carb rebuilt, put in a new distributer, cap, and wires. This car starts instantly, does not smoke, and runs great. It's got hooker headers and aftermarket mufflers, giving it a great V8 sound. The transmission shifts as it should. The AC worked last year, but is weak this year and needs a recharge. There's no rust except one small bubble on the drivers A pillar and a tiny bit by the drip rail over the drivers side rear window. The speedometer does not work, so I'm not sure about the total milage, I have another speedometer with a tachometer and that will come with the car. I know the Speedo works on the replacement, but not sure with the Tach. If you have any questions please feel free to contact me at 618-558-7897. At the request of several callers I added some pictures of the Minor Rust areas Under the vinyl roof. Also was specifically asked about the area under the Trunk mat. I've never looked under there before and I found a bit of surface rust. I believe this can easily be taken care of with a good wire brush.
