This beautiful original, unrestored, well maintained Porsche 911 Targa 1976 Special Limited Edition in rare Champagne Gold commemorates 25 years Silver Anniversary of Porsche manufacture since 1951. This car is straight, accident and rust free and so much fun to drive. HISTORY Purchased this Porsche October 2004; I believe I’m the third owner. It has 97,650 original miles with no odometer rollback. It has always been garaged- I’ve never driven it in the rain or snow- jut out of the garage this bright winter day for photos! ENGINE The 1989 Carrera Katalysator 3.2 L fuel-injected flat six 218 HP is the apex of 25 years of the 911's heritage. Mr. Alan Howes (Limerock & Daytona ’79-’83) has maintained it since 2003 reports approx. 60,000 miles on this engine installed by Speed Sport Tuning (formerly of Fairfield, now Danbury CT) by Spencer who then moved to Farnbacher Loles. Motor Trend (1989) reported a 5.7-second 0-to-60-mph time with a 146-mph top speed and outstanding everyday drivability. Regular 3K oil change intervals, runs great with no issues. TRANSMISSION Original manual 5 speed. Approximately 2K on new clutch; linkage, adjustment and performance are all very good. SUSPENSION Recently replaced suspension bushings. WHEELS Porsche Ltd Package Black Fuchs wheels. Slightly faded but without curb rash. Japan Dunlop Motorsport tires with 80% remaining wear/tread. BRAKES: four disc brakes; calipers rebuilt, rotors and pads. BODY No door dings, a few minor paint chips. It has always been garaged, mostly in climate control. It shows miniscule blemish and no signs of accident. Bilateral electric rear view mirrors with covers. GLASS All German original factory tinted glass with good seals. Targa top rebuilt approximately 17 years ago has some wind passage. Anodized black aluminum trim is in good condition. INTERIOR: Front & Rear Excellent original factory mechanical Sport Seats Ltd Package all tan supple leather. Original steering wheel with new bushing and tan leather cover. Dashboard w/o cracks. Aftermarket Blaupunkt Radio with two door panel speakers. Targa accordion top was rebuilt approximately 17 years ago has some wind passage. Carpet is very good condition tan plush cut pile with logo floor mats. GUAGES are working original VDO as far as is known. Pressure sensor and speedometer recently need work. A/C components are present. MANUAL, TOOL KIT, JACK & SPARE TIRE are original & included. DELIVERY is Avon, Connecticut. TITLE: Connecticut Title is clear (free of liens).
