Up for Sale! I am selling a 1997 Suzuki Intruder 1400. I am going to be relocating cross country for a job and want to take as little as possible with me in the move. This bike is actually a pretty great bike for a 1997. I bought the bike to ride on a short cross town commute to work and really have not experienced any issues with it. It has always started and driven just fine for me. The bike shifts and goes into gear without any issue. This bike is equipped with a drive shaft rather than a chain, as with all intruders. This bike has a 1400 (cc) motor that runs well and looks very clean. All in all this bike still has very nice chrome, with the exception of the exhaust showing its age with bluish discoloration. I had considered just spraying the exhaust with flat black high heat paint, but never really got to it as a priority. The bike has a new battery, recent oil change, sissy bar (removable), rear and front foot pegs, mustang seat, highway bars, front fork bag, rear backrest bag, basic Suzuki roadside tools that came with the bike, and additional saddlebags and leather travel bags are also available to you at no added cost. The bikes turn signals and lights are in working order, as well as a functioning choke and horn. The only things that eventually will need to be replaced are the Rear tire ( getting worn down), and the speedometer. I bought the bike from a friend with around 15,000 miles on it, but speedometer had quit working about two weeks prior to that. I would be very surprised if I even put 500 miles on it since, from my ten block drive to work over the last three months. The low mileage for this bike is the biggest reason I chose to buy this bike, it is extremely low for a 1997. Again this bike is indeed in really nice shape for the year, and is not one that is gonna leave you stranded. She is a good runner.
