For sale is a 2000 Ford Mustang Convertible V6. The car is black exterior, gray leather interior, and fairly loaded with features (Mach 360 sound, cruise control, power everything). It's a stick shift so it's pretty fun to drive. I'm selling the car because I am moving and my family will no longer need two cars. Background on the car / usageI bought the car in 2004 with 38k miles on it from a Ford dealership. The car was in excellent condition at purchase. The car has seen almost entirely highway mileage because I rarely drove the car in college and I currently walk to work (no commuting miles). I do drive the car at least weekly for errands, occasional road trips, etc. Mechanical / maintenance recordThe car runs well and has had no major mechanical issues. I regularly change the oil every 5k. The clutch was replaced at ~90k by a professional transmission shop. At ~95k I had all four brake pads replaced as well as the front rotors and calipers. I replaced the spark plugs at ~80k, although the old ones looked fine. The A/C works fine and blows cold. The car is currently registered in the State of California with a clean title and registry. Per California law, if the car is sold to an in-state buyer I am required to have the car emissions system recertified prior to sale, so you will receive the car with a fresh CA emissions sticker (this applies to in-state buyers only). I usually drive the car 2-3 times a week and it has been 100% reliable - I have never once been stranded by this car in 9+ years. Convertible topThe top works perfectly although the canvas is a little worn. As is very common with this generation of Mustang convertible, the rear window leaks but this does NOT affect the cabin area and is more an annoyance than anything. There is a small tear in the first layer of the canvas in the rear drivers side but the second layer underneath it is fine. See pictures of wear. Exterior / paint / cosmeticsThere is a dent in the right rear quarter. You might be able to pull it out with a "ding king," but I never tried because it's barely noticeable unless you're looking for it. There is also some minor damage to the bottom of the front bumper on the passenger side as well a paint scrape on the driver side of the front bumper. The paint is peeling in a spot near the trunk due to wear. Only the top layer of the paint has peeled and the bottom layers still look good. The paint is good on the rest of the car and there is no rust. I have attached pictures of all cosmetic flaws and can send more if you need a better look. InteriorThe interior is in good shape although the leather in the front two seats is showing a little age. The driver seat is the most worn while the passenger seat is in good condition and the back seats are near mint. All windshields and mirrors are in good condition. One minor issue: the interior dashboard lights do not work, so night driving takes some getting used to. You could probably take the car to a shop to have the circuit fixed, or do it yourself if you're handy. The headlights work perfectly though. I will only ship within the U.S. You can also pickup the car in the San Diego area. Buyer must pickup or ship car by August 2nd.
