Vehicle Detail

Being a GTO nut finally payed off when I was blessed with the opportunity to have not one, but two of my personal GTO's rented by Paramount Pictures for the upcoming Transformers movie! I now pass the once in a life time opportunity of owning a very rare movie GTO onto you. This is much more than simply a set car barely seen in the background. While I cannot divulge too much information, I am at liberty to tell you that my GTO's were cast in as Mark Wahlberg's very own cars where the movie begins in Texas with even a few scenes of him tinkering under the hood. Aside from the Hollywood fluff that should potentially make this ole Goat very valuable, this is a real deal barn find GTO with excellent patina. The car was born in Kansas with all the options to have been the inspiration for Ronnie & The Daytonas - "Little GTO". Beautifully original ordered color combo of Montero Red paint, Beige vinyl top, Black interior. Also came from the factory with a 389, Three Deuces, 4 speed, Rally gauges, in dash tach, and no A/C or power brakes... this GTO was built to move! Somewhere along the car's life it appears to have had 1 repaint and the top changed to black. Even after 48 years the body is ridiculously straight- doors and trunk open very well with super tight and flush gaps- it would appear this GTO has never been in an accident or suffered collision damage. The vinyl top, like most do, lead to the demise of the outer roof skin, but luckily I rescued the Goat before any damage got to any of the structural components of the roof. Hood, deck lid, and doors are 100% rust free! The GTO could use a full restoration, but I say there is already too many shiny restored muscle cars runnin around and this one looks way more bad ass driving around with patina that only time can create! The glass is all perfect with the exception of a small chip barely noticeable in the windshield. All original trim shines bright and is in very good condition. After sitting for the last 15 years in a barn, the Interior is all original and surprisingly very nice for the age, even still has the original rally gauges and in dash tach! The car is currently running and drives under it's own power... and oh boy does it have power! (Not registered nor Street Legal) Unfortunately the original 389 is long gone and was replaced sometime down the road with a late '68 HO 400 that has the sought after 6X heads, Torker intake and a brand new Edelbrock 750 cfm Carb, and fresh Royal Purple oil. Behind the 400 now rests a well built th400 (presumably of the same year) with a shift kit, old school Hurst Quarter stick, and trans cooler. Out back is a 12 bolt Positrac Chevy rear end. Vintage Cragar SS wheels wrap up the sweet old hot rod look that caught the eye of Michael Bay. Feel free to contact me with any questions 512-964-9946
