This is a ONE OWNER, original owner, BMW. The only reason it is being sold is unfortunately due to the demands of family, work, etc. he just does not have time to ride the bike (hence the ultra-low mileage). As you can see, with under 1,375 original miles the bike has hardly been driven. It was literally bought brand new, driven only for pleasure for a couple years and since then stored in his garage. It has actually been stored in his garage since 2003 (which is when it was last registered and plated as verified by the paperwork included) and only started and driven around the neighborhood periodically to keep it in running condition. The bike has no accidents, repaints, etc. It is in overall excellent condition with the exception of some nicks and scratches from minimal driving & then storage (i.e. the front wheel fender has some chips) and some cosmetic marks from when the bike did fall over (while stopped) a couple times when it was first purchased. I noted: some cosmetic scars on each cylinder’s black plastic covers, and scratches on the case, the shift/brake lever handle end balls have some scratches, the rubber grip ends are scuffed, etc.) - all as shown in the pictures. The rubber handlebar grips also have some cracking due to age. Other than those few cosmetic flaws (which you need to look for and could easily be corrected if the new owner so desires) the bike looks great, as you can see in all the pictures. The bike started right up and I drove it around the neighborhood, etc. prior to taking the pictures and it was a pleasure to drive. Includes all the manuals, paperwork, receipts, etc. as shown in the pictures. I understand it can be hard purchasing an item like this via the web, sight unseen, etc. You only have the seller’s history, reputation, the pictures, etc. to go on. Therefore I have posted close to 40 pictures of the bike and provided a detailed description to the best of my ability. I have bought and sold many, many collectable cars, bikes, and boats via ebay and the web over the years (please feel free to review my feedback in detail, you will see many of the collectable cars, bikes, etc. I have sold) and I try hard to do my best to make every transaction complete successfully – as I will do here. Pickup / Shipping: The winning bidder is responsible for pickup / shipping / transportation / etc. of the bike. There are a number of good shipping / transport companies and I have shipped well over a dozen cars, boats, motorcycles, etc. and I can assist the winning bidder with the transport, shipping, etc. I can also deliver the bike as long as I am compensated for gas, time, etc. (within a reasonable distance) as I have an enclosed trailer I could transport it in. The bike is located in Novi, MI (Novi is about 20 minutes West of Detroit Metro Airport). Terms: Winning bidder to contact the seller within 24 hours of the auction's end and a non-refundable $275 deposit must be received within 24 hours of the auction’s close. The remaining balance is due within 7 days of the auction ending or at the time of pickup / delivery / etc., whichever is sooner. If other arrangements are needed please email me to discuss prior to bidding. The bike is also for sale locally and I reserve the right to cancel the auction at any time. Bidders with feedback less than 10 or less than 98% positive must contact me prior to bidding. Now the standard verbiage: All information contained here is per the information available to me, as explained by owners / prior owners, records on the item, etc., etc. and its accuracy is to the best of my knowledge. I have tried to be as impartial, fair and accurate as possible regarding the item and it’s condition at the time of listing and as stated here and as is standard with the sale of used motorized items of this type - this item is being sold as is and as described to the best of my ability, with no warranty expressed or implied and the sale is final when full payment is received and item is picked-up / shipped / etc. You are bidding on a 10+ year old used item that has been in storage for most of its life, with likely the expected use/wear/ tear and age issues, cosmetic flaws, blemishes, etc. you may see on an item of this age (i.e. ding, nick, scratch, chip, leak, tear, peel, crack, ding, scuff, drip, wear, corrosion, oxidation, rust, tarnish, misc. repairs….etc.). In bidding here you are entering into a legally binding agreement to purchase this item, if you are the winning bidder you will have purchased the item, not the option to decide later if you want the item or not. You are welcome to inspect the item, ask questions, etc. and I encourage you to do so prior to bidding, especially if you have any concerns or questions regarding the item and/or its condition, just contact me and we can arrange a time. On Jun-30-13 at 19:35:47 PDT, seller added the following information: As I have received a large number of inquires on the bike I thought I would post some additional information here: Yes this is a 1 owner, original owner, original mileage bike with all the paperwork you see pictured here. If you are interested in additional pictures, pictures of something in particular, please email me. The pictures are of the actual bike itself; I took the pictures myself for the listing her on ebay (they are not pictures from when it was brand new years ago, etc.). While the bike is in great condition and looks great, as stated it does have the usual and normal cosmetic flaws (scuffs, nicks, mars, scratches, etc.) you would expect on a bike of this age with low use and years of storage. The bike is for sale locally and I reserve the right to end the auction if it sells locally. Please feel free to ask any question you have. If possible I encourage you to view the listing on a full size, hi-resolution display/monitor as the listing is designed to be viewed on a full size screen. There are many detailed, large pictures and you will not be able to see the detail and quality of the pictures on something like a handheld device with a small display screen (phone, etc.). Again, thank you for looking
