2006 HONDA CRF 250 Here is the story on this bike. About four years ago I retired and moved from California to Oregon. When I moved, I put the bike into storage. It has been in storage for the last four years. I am now 60 years old, and realize that I will never ride it again. It is time to pass it on to somebody who will. The bike has been modified and significantly improved. The following modifications have been made: THE CRANK HAS BEEN BALANCED to reduce vibration. The head has been LIGHTLY PORTED to improve air flow. A HINSON CLUTCH KIT has been installed. The bike has a FMF POWER BOMB HEADER, and FMF SILENCERS. The forks and the shock have been REVALVED and REBUILT by Pro Action Suspension for a 165 pound rider. They are PLUSH. The VALVES WERE CHECKED AND ARE WITHIN TOLERANCE (The work done by my local shop in California. This was done just prior to going into storage. I have only ridden the bike up and down the driveway since then.) The bike has ANSWER fatty bars with a universal mount. (It came stock with regular 7/8” handlebars.) The bike has many new parts: NEW REAR TIRE NEAR NEW FRONT TIRE NEW ACERBIS FORK PROTECTORS NEW ACERBIS SIDE PANELS NEW ACERBIS REAR FENDER NEW ACERBIS FRONT FENDER NEW ACERBIS RADIATOR SHROUDS NEW GRIPS NEW SPARK PLUG NEW MOOSE AIR FILTER NEAR NEW CHAIN AND SPROCKETS ALL FLUIDS CHANGED AND A NEW OIL FILTER INSTALLED (I will throw in two extra oil filters with the bike.) I was 53 when I bought this bike, and I put into storage when I was 56. After four years, I changed the spark plug, put in new gas, and it started on the second kick. I have never raced this bike, and it was never abused (I have never ridden it in the mud--never). The modifications were not made to make the bike faster, but to make it smoother, more durable, and easier to ride—although, they also made it faster. It starts easy and runs strong. The bike comes with a California title (I believe I put it on Non-Op when I put into storage.) I have described the bike as accurately as possible. Look at the pictures carefully (very carefully, since this bike is so good, if you look at the pictures too long, you will go blind—fair warning) and ask questions. There are no returns. I live in Yamhill, Oregon, which is just a little south-west of Portland. I would prefer local pick-up. I can help with delivery within 150 miles for the cost of my gas to the delivery point and back home. I believe there is a Forward Air terminal at the Portland Airport. I can deliver the bike there if all I have to do is drop it off and leave. The buyer is responsible for arranging shipping. I will not crate the bike up. Thanks for looking.
