2008 Dodge Caliber SXT This 2008 Caliber SXT Just became available for sale at our tow yard in Riverview, MI. This Caliber runs well and drives good. It has 128k miles. It also has a salvage title. We have keys and have test driven the vehicle. The engine sounds good and has no smoking, abnormal noises or leaks. This one has the continuously variable transmission (CVT) with the 2.0 four cylinder engine. As you can see in the photos the car has very minor collision damage to the rear. The damage is easily repairable. The parts expense will be very little as well as it only requires a hatch and the rear bumper assembly. Drivetrain - the engine is a 2.0 four cylinder. We checked all of the fluids and everything is full and looks acceptable visually. The engine sounds normal and is free of leaks. It appears to be the original engine. The transmission looks ok as well. During our test drive both the engine and transmission operated as they should. Our test drive was approx 20 miles and included a short drive on the interstate at speeds of 75 mph plus. Exterior - We have represented the exterior as good as we can in the photos. Of course there is the minor collision damage in the rear end. Other than that the car basically only shows average wear and tear commonly found on a vehicle of this age and mileage. There are a few knicks scratches and dings here and there. Also a crack in the front bumper. We will try to show everything in the photographs. Interior - The interior is in good shape. It needs a detail but It is overall clean. Just a little dusty. It doesnt appear to have been smoked in. There are no odors or burns. The seats, carpet, ect. are all in good shape. Other options: 17 inch alloy wheels, tires 50% Am/fm cd with iPod / aux input Ice cold A/C Cruise Control Power Windows, Locks, Mirrors Anti-Lock Brakes More This really is a very nice car. It is obviously has less value than a similar undamaged one. That makes it good for the do it yourself type though because you will be able to buy it for less and bring the value of it back up as you make repairs. The NADA guide puts the actual cash value (retail) at $7600.00. Our buy it now price is fairly set at half of the retail value. The parts needed for the repair are available used for under $500. So you could easily have this car back on the road for under $4k. We wont reveal our reserve so please dont ask. But I will tell you up front that the reserve is less than the "Buy It Now" price. Many of our vehicles are sold via the Buy It Now option because our buy it now prices are always very fair. It is common for us to get multiple phone calls from interested buyers that missed out because another buyer used Buy It Now and ended an auction early on a vehicle they were interested in. So dont hold out trying to save a couple bucks, ask as many questions as you need to feel comfortable and then consider using the buy it now option. Our terms are very easy. $500 deposit due within 48 hours of the sale. The remaining balance is due within 7 days. Shipping is your responsibility but if you need assistance we can help. Just ask. We will allow 2-3 weeks for you to arrange transportation. If additional time is needed please contact us in advance of your bid. There are no other fees charged by us. However there are some fees imposed by the State of Michigan that may apply. Michigan 6% tax plus $15 title fee is due to any buyer that is a resident of the state of Michigan. Out of state buyers must also pay tax and title fee. Out of state buyers pay tax at your states rate or 6% whichever is less. You will not be charged tax twice. The State of Michigan provides you with a validated form that shows tax was paid here. You will not be charged again by your home state DMV. No tax is due to buyers who can meet the following exemptions: A licensed dealer with proper paperwork A buyer who lives in a state that does not charge sales tax on used vehicles A buyer who lives in a state that does not reciprocate sales tax on used vehicles with the State of Michigan. An out of state buyer that is having the vehicle transported to a destination outside of the State of Michigan by a licensed Motor Carrier If you meet any of the above tax exempt criteria there will no other fees added.
