Vehicle Detail

Mostly original condition. This vehicle is part of an estate and was last driven on the road in a Memorial Day Parade in 2010. It's currently got a clear Pennsylvania title and an antique license. It is in a useable condition, by that I mean it's not perfect. I think it might be painted John Deere Green. My Dad wanted to be able to use it for parades and not worry about kids climbing in and out of the back. We have not had it running since 2010, but we're going to work on that and I'll add a note if we get it started. The parade pictures above are from a Memorial Day parade in 2010. It's been parked in the barn since then. I noticed today the radiator has a small leak. This vehicle is available for local pick up only. It is in Barkeyville, Pennsylvania, which is about 65 miles north of Pittsburgh at the intersection of Route 8 and Interstate 80. Let me know if you would like to see it before the auction ends, and we will do what we can to show it off. We've had a lot of fun with this nice little truck from the time right before the Great Depression. eBay Motors requires that I enter mileage, but I have no idea how many miles this truck has run in the last 84 years. The tail lights and turn signals were added to make the truck more visible and safer for travel to and from parades. Unfortunately, it's green and black colors are not very visible in summer traffic moving at much faster speeds. It's top "highway" speed is about 45, or at least that's all the faster my Dad drove it. He added the safety lights because lots of other vehicles travel 70 mph+ on the same roads. NO RESERVE! On Jun-24-13 at 22:25:12 PDT, seller added the following information: The fenders are steel. I do not know if they are original or not, but they are in good shape with no visible holes, rust, putty, bondo or resin filler when looking inside the wheel wells or underneath. I'm pretty sure my Dad painted the car with John Deere green and yellow with black fenders. He would have done that with aerosol paint cans -- something he could easily repair if the finish were damaged during the wear and tear of kids and parades. I have not found the iron work for the convertible top yet. It might turn up and it might not. Assume it is NOT included. (I'll keep looking). On Jun-29-13 at 14:17:50 PDT, seller added the following information: After a little detective work, the roof has been found and is now included with the car auction. Sometime between 2007 and 2010, my Dad took it off and set it to the side in the garage. It is dirty and torn, but it is all there, I believe. Message me and I'll email or text you pictures. The roof is not attached to the truck. It has a wooden piece that holds the rear view mirror, two metal braces that hold up the roof, and then a piece of wood at the bottom behind the cab. THE ROOF IS INCLUDED IN THE AUCTION!On Jun-30-13 at 10:07:38 PDT, seller added the following information: I have lots more pictures if you contact me, I will email you a link.I learned today, that the guy looking at it thinks the head gasket leaks oil. We put the convertible top on, and it has a couple of tears. It's some kind of after market vinyl thing. He also thinks the rear fenders (and probably the front fenders) have been smoothed with a coat of body putty on the surface, but there are no holes filled with body putty. The electrical work in the Model A pickup roadster has all been converted to 12V. (and the battery is very dead).
