**Please be advised when viewing pictures that I have tried to arrange the photos in a walk around presentation starting from left side of truck and going around. Some photos were taken in a different location due to overbearing shadows from sunlight. **
Bailey Motors USA in San Antonio, Texas is proud to present this awesome, Texas 1 Owner, 2002 Dodge Ram 3500 Cab & Chassis Flatbed. This truck has the awesome 5.9 Cummins engine that everyone still desires. The 5.9 in this truck has NO BLOW-BY when checked and has lots of power!! The truck starts on a dime and has no white or blue smoke which is a good sign! As many Dodge Diesels trucks that I have personally owned, I would be very comfortable traveling across the country in this truck knowing this engine is very sound! In addition, the previous owner that I directly bought the truck from took very good care of his truck. He used the truck in his plumbing business. The truck had a plumbing rack which has been removed from the flatbed since time of purchase.
The truck comes with a 5 speed manual NV4500 transmission with 3:55 gears. This truck has the option of bolting a 6 speed transmission to it for more gear range or someone can install lower gearing like 3:73 or 4:10 gears for better towing capacity. The truck shifts good and gets great fuel mileage. I changed the transmission fluid and put the good Mopar Synthetic Manual Transmission brand back in. The previous fluid was clean. Also, a new slave cylinder was installed after discovering the old one started leaking up top where the fluid reservior sits on the firewall.
In addition, the truck has tight steering and I would give it a rating of 8 on steering and handling. The front tires have about 70% tread. The rear left tires have about 40% tread and the right rear tires are about 70% tread. I am thinking the previous owner bought 4 new tires and put the old front steer tires on left rear.
The truck overall is in good solid condition with the exception of some minor chips, tears in the driver seat, and the dash being cracked. The cracked dash was a common problem in the older Dodge trucks. I ordered a dash cover which is shown. In addition, the rear drop down hitch on back of the bed was pushed in on left side some due to a minor rear end accident. The truck has no frame damage. I discovered this when doing a Carfax report prior to purchase. I called the previous owner and he was very forthright when asked. I was very comfortable still buying the truck even with this minor incident. The rest of the CarFax report looked great! Upon request, I can email a copy of the report.
