BEST PRICE ON A C5 OUT THERE. DON'T WAIT--IT WILL SELL FAST. Super Deal. I AM FINISHED. FIRST $10,000 TAKES IT--SEE DETAILS BELOW My 1998 Silver Corvette Base 5.7 liter 350--a real head turner I have posted a bunch of pictures. I will tell you all about it. Please keep in mind that this is a 15 year old car- great shape. THE GOOD: New sway bar ends 6 months ago--cost $100 Seat wobble fixed 6 months ago (a common problem with the early C5's--research it) cost $500 New ceramic brakes and new (not turned) rotors 6 months ago--cost $500 Laser alignment of all 4 wheels last month--cost $120 Coolant holding tank replaced a few days ago--cost $200 Oil change last week--cost $60 A/C automatic diverter, charged repaired last month--costs $400 The tires are new--98% in front, 75% in rear The engine, transmission, ac, radio, interior power items (with the exception of a few (2) minor dashboard lights), displays all work. It runs excellent and is super fast. The outside is clean--the car looks great. Some very minor dings. The inside is clean, no smells. It looks great and runs great. THE BAD: (again a 15 year old car.) As you can see in the pictures, the driver's door interior vinyl is wrinkled--I covered it with a thin strip in black vinyl--looks ok , the driver's seat is worn at the entry point. Things you can't see in the pictures (because they are small at not very noticeable), the body from close-up (you have to look for it) is missing some clear coat behind the passenger's back tire and on the back bumper in small spots. A few very small scratches--normal. And the worst part of all--NO REMOTE. THE UGLY: 1.There is a very small oil leak coming from the front cover gasket--the gasket just behind the time chain housing. I had it diagnosed with dye. They said that it is listed as a 5 hour job (gasket and kit are $100). The mechanic said it was okay to just add oil and not have it fixed right away. I never had to add oil. I was warned to NOT put "stop leak" additive--so I did not put the additive in it. 2. The pop-up lights don't always pop-up. I replaced the motors and the module (cost $500) last week and I'm still having problems. I have spent hours with it and I give up. The lights can still be operated manually. I have over $13,000 into this car. I'm frustrated. The first person to pay $10,000 plus the ebay listing fee of $125 can have it. PLEASE DO NOT OFFER ME LOWER--I WILL NOT TAKE IT. THIS IS AS LOW AS I GO. NO OTHER PROBLEMS WITH THIS CAR I tried to be as honest about this car as I can--I can't think of any thing else to say. If you have questions please ask. I need to sell it to support my sister and her kids. As with any used car, AS-IS I have really enjoyed this car and I hate to sell it.
