Here is a 1964 Triumph Bonneville 650cc custom bobber built by an ex Brit iron worker from Arcadia, Ca. Ray D'Vaz has built over forty Triumph and Brit bikes and knows how to do them right. This bike gets more attention than a guy generally wants wherever it goes. The frame parts and wheels have been powder coated black which looks great and will stay looking great. The paint job is all new and custom. The gas tank was cleaned and painted on the inside as well. All numbers are matching. The bike was originally bought at Johnson Motors in LA, new in 1964. The guy who bought it then went off to Vietnam and it sat in a storage unit forever. It has a great sound and is the perfect bike for hot rodding around town. It is not the bike of choice for long trips as it is a hard tail and it would beat you up after a long day of riding. I have not entered it into any shows but I'm convinced it could hold its own it its category. I am selling as a result of a separation. The rear tire is a very rare, gum dipped Firestone drag tire, it works great and has an awesome look. The points have been removed and it runs a Boyer electronic ignition which gives greater reliability. It is also outfitted with a new battery which serves mostly to supplement the lights when running it at night. If you like the minimalist bad ass look than this is your bike. If you are serious about the bike I can send you all the build specs and I will post a you tube video of it running so you can hear it. It has a throaty, get the hell out of the way sound to it. It is fast and light and would be best suited for a medium sized rider. I have a matching rear fender which i will include and a new rear tire which I will throw in as well. Thanks for Looking. "It is a matching numbers origin 1964 Bonneville. It came from the original owner a old Vietnam Vet 73 yrs old. He purchased it new at Johnson Motors. Used very little then sat for 30 yrs in his lockup. i got it rebuilt from the crank up as you can see it now a very nice running vintage drag racer. Split open new bearings with seals pistons valves guides replaced head was sent to a high dollar machine shop rebuilt like new high power alternator 12 volt fitted Boyer ignition no points anymore Battery eliminator fitted will run without battery if you want...correct 64' gas tank lined and painted by Hot Rod Jonni Riverside bloke...new carbs tuned correct..finned Maund speed alloy intakes/extensions/motor plates/lic holder/fitted not repps original hot rod California speed shop items fitted..starts easy 1/2 kick shifts in all gears ike butter new clutch Jessi James chopped rear fender Dani Chop gift..All black is powder coated ..foot pegs lowered for better ride position...59 Bonni Front finned Brakes used for period look...16in rear 19in front vintage Firestone drag slick used on rear in good condition still very hard to find rides really nice. Big exhaust system upsweeps gattling megaphones can remove baffles but its too loud. all lights work. title in my name. New tank badges knee pads rack all nice chrome..it steers well goes down the road in a straight line with no hands...lots of period hot rod parts used lots of time and money spent this is not a rush quick chop job only the best parts used.. I have built over 40 custom bobbers over the years . ex factory worker british iron since 1972..sold as is.
