Vehicle Detail
ABSOLUTELY BEAUTIFUL 2003 BMW R1150RT. I am the second owner of this incredible machine that I bought from the original owner when it had 8,200 miles on it. This bike was his baby and it has also been mine and has been meticulously maintained and babied every mile. GARAGE KEPT, NEVER DUMPED and ZERO DENTS OR SCRATCHES on the body. There are a few scuffs on the luggage/saddle bags from moving it in and out of the garage but those are barely noticeable. The paint has been regularly waxed and the bike is cleaned regularly. I took it out just last weekend and while filling it up at the gas station, the guy next to me said "Wow, that's a beautiful bike...what year is it?." When I told him, he was amazed and said, "Damn, that thing looks brand new. You must really take care of it." Well I do. I wasn't kidding when I said she's been babied. This bike has been regularly service. In fact, THE 20,000 mi (Big One) SERVICE HAS JUST BEEN PERFORMED, AS HAVE THE REAR BRAKES. TIRES WERE REPLACED AT 10K MILES AND STILL HAVE PLENTY OF TREAD ON THEM. The reason I am selling this is because my wife and I have a new kid on the way and we need the money to pay off debts (that and she hates that I ride it). I doubt I'll get a bike this nice again and I'll miss her, but I know you'll enjoy her as much as I have. It really is, hands-down, a truly amazing and beautiful machine. You have my word on that. Additions include:'CITY' LIDS for LUGGAGE (narrow lids for the luggage/saddle bags - good for city driving. THE ORIGINAL/REGULAR LIDS ARE ALSO INCLUDED IN THIS SALE)TECHLUSION FUEL INJECTION CONTROL BOXREMUS TITANIUM EXHAUST (Lighter than stock, saves gas, increases performance and sounds AMAZING)AEROFLOW HEADLIGHT COVERCORBIN SEATS with carbon-fiber look. COMFORTABLE!MOTORCYCLE COVERABSTRACTION CONTROLHEATED GRIPSELECTRICALLY-ADJUSTABLE WINDSCREENREAR (CENTER) LUGGAGE (Fits on the very back of the bike)GREEN LIGHT TRAFFIC LIGHT TRIGGER (Mounted on underside of bike. NO sitting at red lights any more because the sensor didn't trip)Again, this bike is one of a kind. You are bidding on a truly wonderful, very well taken care of piece of German engineering. If you have never ridden a BMW, well...they are just as good, if not better than, their cars. Smooth, powerful, comfortable and just about the safest bike on the road. The ABS and traction control on these bikes are unparalleled and can make the difference in saving your life in an emergency situation. It's no wonder the RT is the sport-touring bike of choice for many law enforcement agencies around the country - they are incredibly reliable and safe. Good luck bidding. I will miss her but I promise you are getting ONE HELL OF A BIKE. She will treat you well for many, many miles to come... Let me know if you have any questions. I'll try and respond as promptly as possible.
