Hello Bidders! Up for auction is a 1972 Volkswagen Super Beetle. I have had this car for 16 years with about 10 of it in the restoration phase. It is now a daily driver during the Summer months. This is a nice machine and attracts a lot of attention wherever it goes. The body: all four fenders, the front apron, the floorboards, body trim, body rubber (except the wing windows), bumpers, mirror and running boards have all been replaced. The vehicle was painted about 3 years ago and the paint is in very good condition. The interior: the car has been totally re done on the inside. The carpet, head liner, door panels, seat covers, seat cushions and glove box have been replaced. I have also installed forced air heat under the back seat. It is noisy but heats the car up in a hurry! The music is provided by a CD player in the dash and 6 x 9's in the back. Mechanical: There is lots to talk about here.. the engine was rebuilt to a 1641 and has Pertronics electronic ignition, Dual Weber ICT 34's, dual port heads, a deep sump oil pan (5 quarts total) and a newer generator. The engine has about 15,000 miles on the rebuild. The transmission is a rebuilt unit from Chirco with about 7,000 miles on it. The car has front disc brakes, a rebuilt steering box, has been rewired, the gas tank has been replaced along with the sender and gauge. I have replaced the rims/tires when the car was painted 3 years ago. I have also fitted the car with an electric pump for the windshield wash. Sale and shipping: This Vehicle is sold as is!
