This is an exceptional 1970 seven passenger California Bay window walkthru bus. Very complete and ready to enjoy. 1 long term owner. I bought this bus from the daughter who inherited it from here father. She claims, and I have no reason to believe otherwise, that he was the original owner. Because she couldn't find any of the original documents, I can't guarantee it though. MOTOR: is the original 1600 that has been refreshed with new heads and tune up. Runs terrific and also has a new battery. TRANSMISSION: shifts flawlessly in and out of all 4 gears & reverse with ease. No funny noises, grinding or popping out of gear. Goes down the freeway at 70mph easily. BODY & PAINT: for the most part are truly exceptional. Always a CA vehicle, it is virtually rust free with the exception of a small amount on the passenger side rocker (pictured) and some acid corrosion of the battery tray. Paint is 90% original and in great shape. Nose and passenger side door below trim are all that has ever been repainted. Laser straight body lines, seams and gaps. Shines beautifully. All the glass is excellent and has a new windshield. All the deluxe trim is outstanding. SUSPENSION: Has been refreshed with new shocks, brakes, brake lines, steering arm and brand new Goodyear Eagle 195/65/15's on restored 15" rims including the spare. All 5 original 14" rims included. INTERIOR: is very complete with both rear seats, excellent headliner and a perfect crack free dash. Some of the mats are missing & the panel on slider door. Almost everything works including, headlight high & low beams, heater, turn signals, all lights including the license plate light, horn, fresh air vents and all 5 wing windows. Driver and passenger side windows roll up and down with out issue. All the locks work and use the same key. All seat belts are included and in good condition however not currently installed. Gas guage works only intermittently. IN SUMMERY: this is a fantastic opportunity to own a very original early bus (still wide 5 lug pattern!) that you can actually use and have fun with. It needs nothing but your attention to minute details along the way and modified (lowered) or left alone depending on your style. I showed it last weekend at the Sacramento Bugorama and it was a crowd favorite. Very hard to come buy in this condition, and getting pricier every day.
