Vehicle Detail

Up for auction is my 1987 Ford Mustang GT. I bought this car late 04' from a friend of a friend. It was bought new in Jacksonville, Florida and has never been anywhere else. When I got the car it was 100% all stock right down to the air silencer and factory exhaust so I was given a great opportunity to mod the car. I am the third owner, the second was the original mans son. Condition: The Mustang was involved in a minor accident when I was coming home from work one day. Damage only extended to the passenger side fender and hood. At fault driver of course had no insurance so I decided to get it fixed as I really liked the car. I replaced the fender and had the body shop to repair the door. Before I had them paint the car I put a new stock hood and a new front bumper cover on as the hood had some dings and such. It was painted in 05' and was garaged ever since until I bough my 2000 GT about 3 months ago in which case I have had a car cover on it. The body work was done by Maaco and their work was OK but if you look closely you can see the flaws. With that laid on the table, I will go into the over all condition of the car and try to best describe it's current condition as accurately as possible. This car is NOT perfect and until I bought my 2000 GT I had planed a full restoration on it now that things have changed for me for the better financially and the fact that I just sold my 96' GT I have decided to sell this car. If I had the garage space, I probably would keep it as it has been a great car and has served me well when I used it as my main source of transportation. All of the work except the paint and body has been done by me. Drivers side door has small amount of rust building at the top of the door on the inside. I bought a used door about 2 years ago. Will go with the car if buyer wants it. various small dings here and there and there are three areas on the front passenger side fender (see pics) I had to touch up about 6 months after it was painted. Small dent on the drivers side door. Its hard to see unless you look really close as its behind the door trim. 2 small dings in the hood. Several small chips in the original windshield. Interior is in really good condition considering its 25 years old. There are no major rips or tears in the seats or the carpet but there is some small light stains I cannot get out. Power windows all work, however the door lock on the drivers side does not. I swear I have replaced the actuator 5 times over the years. Door panels are all there and in good shape. I have kept armor all on the inside since I have owned it so the dash and plastics are in near perfect condition. Rear bumper cover was repainted about 3 years ago because I nailed it with a floor jack bringing it out of the garage one day and is the reason it is slightly darker even though the same paint was used. Drive train: I have not driven the car much over the last few years so it could probley use the usual tune up and maintenance. I did drive it several times recently and it drove well. The car is fast and you can get yourself in trouble with it quick. It's plenty faster than my 2000 GT The list of stuff that I have done to the car are as follows: Engine was rebuilt 3 years ago Thumper ported and polished heads with the lower intake port matched to the heads TFS Stage 1 cam with adjustable timing gear set, currently installed straight up FRPP Cobra intake Mass air converted, Pro-M mass air meter calibrated for the installed FRPP 24lb injectors, Accufab 70mm throttle body. BBK shorty headers, MAC O/R H pipe, Flowmaster American thunder cat back FRPP 3:55 rear-end gears Clutch, flywheel, throwout bearing was replaced with engine installation, the T5 is original and shifts perfect, no grinding, no noise. UPR clutch quadrent and firewall adjusted and the clutch cable is about 2 years old FRPP "C" lowering springs and I installed a set of pony wheels last year, tires need to be replaced Mark VII electric fan and fan controller and 3G 130 amp alt. upgraded A/C is converted and works but needs to be wired so that the low speed of the fan comes on when the a/c is turned on. Never got around to it. Heat works also. Car needs an alignment since the lowering spring install. I have not driven it much since I installed them. I was planning on new tires and a alignment but other projects took priority. I'm sure I left something out but this is most everything. I'm letting this car go at what I feel as a reasonable price. I would rather keep it but could use the extra money for my other Mustang. Please ask any questions you may have. I have a clear Florida title and a file folder with a ton of receipts.
