UP FOR BID IS THIS SWEET, AWESOME 35 YEAR OLD VINTAGE MOTORCYCLE. This will make a great bike IF YOU ENJOY TINKERING, YOU CAN ride THIS to the Vintage bike rallys and get togethers on the summer nights! Everyone comments on this bike, how awesome it is to see it and how good the engine sounds. This bike has lots-o-MOXIE! it is a "rider", it is extremely ridable even with the listed issues. it is ready to ride, but has much tinkerable items it could use. It comes with the Original "OWNERS MANUAL" AND THE ORIGINAL "TOOL KIT" I bought this bike last fall, 2012 from my boss as part of a trade deal. This is a really good machine, and made in Japan. This motorcycle is all stock that I know of except for: The new, black, 4 into one pipe. The original pipe was rusting through on the bottom and leaked exhaust. I just repalced the handgrips with new rubbery dirt bike grips. Some work I have done to it: I put a new clutch cable on. I lubed the throttle cables. I took the pet cock apart and reversed the rubber seal so it quit leaking. I put 4 new spark plugs in it. CONDITION: The bike is old and cosmetically rough condition: There are no dents in the gas tank. Although the chain functions well, it probably should be replaced. The sprockets look good and are not curved forward or backwards. I have been riding this bike once or twice a week about 40 miles round trip for the last month or so, but not in the rain. The tires are not visually dry rotted and have a lot of tread left. The seat has been re-covered by my boss before I got the bike, the seat cover is not OEM. The lights all work well. The gas tank is very clean inside and not full of rust. Some issues that I know of: The odometer works but the title says, "warning odometer discrepancy", this is because my boss stated on the title that the odometer reading was not the actual milage, he stated this because the bike had no speedo cable for about 1000 miles before he replaced the cable, so the actual milage is approximately 1000 miles more than the stated odometer reading. The aluminum is is starting to oxidize a little. The far left rubber boot between the carbuerator and the filter box has a small slit in it and there is a piece of electrical tape over it with a black zip tie. The paint on the top of the gas tank is wierd, the clearcote is peeling. The decails on the tank and side covers are not perfect. The chrome metal rims, front and back including spokes are rusting. One of the forks is starting to leak out the top seal. The rear shocks are rusting and the right one may be seeping oil. The frame and misc. steel pieces need a new coat of black paint. The front fender has rust on it, mostly on the rear of it. The rear tail light has a couple cracks in it. One of the turn signal lenses is cracked around the screw. Hopefully you can see these blemishes in the pictures if not more. The bottom edge of the gas tank on the exterior has some rust around it, looks like its missing a trim piec or something, but it does not leak fuel. The engine top end seeps oil and needs a top end gasket kit, there are no oil spots beneath it when it sits in the garage. The bottom of the metal seat has some rust. there seems to be 2 rubber grommets missing under the seat, I put that sponge on there to help keep it more solid. Please ask if you would like some more pictures of something and I'll try to get them to you ASAP. The blemishes and items listed are not that noticable in the pictures, thats why I tried to list everything for you. I threw the old original pipes in the dumpster. It has a 9200 RPM Redline and runs clean and strong up through the power band. There is no RESERVE on this bike. If this does not sell, I will probably buy a Cafe seat and handlebars and make a cafe racer out of it when i get more time. The Highest Bid buys this Awesome Historical Machine. Please try to come and see this in real life if you can, pictures only can show so much, reflections make it hard to see this bike in the photos. The hard stuff........but necessary PAYMENT: If you win the highest bid, you send me a non-refundable $500 through Paypal within 24 hours of the close of the auction, then I know your a Serious Buyer. If not then I will need to re-list the bike ASAP. Full Payment must be made within 7 days of the close of this auction unless you work out other arrangements with me first. When you come to pick the bike up, before you ride it, you give me the full payment in Cash Money and then I will sign the title over to you. If you prefer, a Cashier Check form a Huntington National Bank may be used as an option for you. Your winning bid is a purchase contract per eBay, this is NOT a classified add. If there are any problems after you receive the bike, we work it out AFTER the money and title transaction, eBay offers both you and I excellent protection to do it this way, when you pick up the bike, it is not time to haggle over the price or to try to cancel the transaction. eBay will be fair to us both and help us resolve any issues if there are any and there shouldn't be any. I'm not blowing smoke, I'm trying to be up and up in the forefront and have nothing to hide. I'm just trying to auction off this sweet bike to the highest bidder/buyer. IF My description and photos are not accurate, show me and I will do whatever needs done, and if I don't, then you can file a claim with eBay and they will help us work it out. SHIPPING: Shipping is not included in the price. I will not crate nor prepare in any way this bike for shipping. The Buyer is responsible to pick up the bike or arrange for shipping. I will be happy to meet with your contracted shipper so they can load the bike and deliver it to you AFTER your payment in full has been made. There are many motorcycle shippers that will give you a price and may even bid on your delivery cost, just look on the internet. I may be able to deliver the bike within 150 miles for a negotiated fee. Thank you for your interest and may the God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob, richly bless you and yours!
