Vehicle Detail

This is a 1967 Cadillac Deville Convertible. It is a "Survivor" (never been restored or tampered with). I believe I am the third owner. In 1967 the car was purchased new in my home town of Wichita, Kansas and has never left town. The car is in great mechanical shape with a new transmission less than 1000 miles ago. The engine runs great and the car drives and shifts perfect! I would not hesitate hopping in this car and heading across the country. It is an unrestored 1967, but better than what would be expected for a "survivor". Has electric seats and windows, which all work but motors are all a little weak so a helping hand is required on some of the windows. The top goes up and down really nice, but has a sticky switch at times. Tires are really good with allot of life left in them. A little bit of rust is starting to show though in a few spots. Tilt steering wheel works good. The telescoping steering wheel does not lock into position. The electric antenna works up and down using the radio knob, but also with a weak motor. The radio is just static. The auto climate control heater and A/C control is not functional, but I have located parts and have no doubt that it is repairable. The A/C compressor turns free and feels good. The interior is all in one piece and wore, but shows less wear than expected from a 1967. The convertible top has seen better days, but has a glass rear window instead of the cheap plastic window. New tops are very affordable. All the glass in the car is good. What you see is what you get. This car can "easily" stay a survivor for years to come and be a weekend cruiser as it sits. With a little work and a few bucks everything would work fine. We get allot of looks and allot of thumbs up as we drive through town. This would be a "great" restore project because everything is there and functional, and best of all "not tampered with". I was going to restore it from ground up, but have focused my attention on a muscle car restoration instead. As much as my sons and I hate to see it go, we need to make room in the shop.
