What a gorgeous view on a beautiful black car. Is there ANYTHING better than a Black with Light Gray interior BMW?!? Of course there is!! How about a Black with Light Gray interior BMW and NO RESERVE??!! I see cars on the road half this car's age that doesn't have the shine that this car has! The front nose and hood have barely any rockchips! Headlights are perfect. Driving lights are perfect. There are only a handful of teeny tiny dings on the entire car. I can count on one hand how many scratches I found. This car was somebody's baby and it shows! I'm not a huge fan of the Yokohama line, but these matching tires have nearly new treadlife left, are remarkably quiet (Yokos are usually noisy over their lifespans) and all ride on clean damage free, vibration free rims! I don't normally snap pics of myself but this time I couldn't help it. I was so proud of how well this car turned out after a quick wash. Truly is like staring into a mirror on ANY body panel! Why am I spending so much time on the paint description?? It's a 1996 vehicle! Rear bumper cover looks amazing, as well, altho there are a couple light scuffs. Hard to see until you get down and look. Yes, there are a few rust bubbles. These cars suffer mostly in the trunk area from our fabulous salty winters in the midwest. Again, not noticable until you get down and catch the light at an angle. Last brag.....note the glass reflection versus the paint?? Just sayin... ;-) Above is the lower right corner of the trunklid. The interior is my favorite BMW interior color. The nearly white light Gray leather. It's not pristine, but it's very well kept. I'd bet with some proper leather cleaner, it would be even better to pristine condition. As you may or may not know, it's very common for these lighter colors to be re-dyed or resprayed by now. This has NOT been altered. The steering wheel is perfect. The driver's seat bolster is barely worn. Everything power works as it should: HEATED power seating, ICE COLD AC, power windows, locks, cruise, AM/FM/Radio with CD changer in trunk, sunroof, driving lights, perfectly working electronic climate control, etc. The ONLY complaints I have about the interior are as follows: driver's seat back does not move. The seat works in every way, but the seatback stays put, altho you can hear the motor operate. The driver's window doesn't move up or down altho you can also hear that motor operate trying to lower it. Finally, altho the radio works, the backlighting (typical) doesn't light up. ALL the rest of the pixels and backlit displays work properly. I mentioned this is a NO RESERVE auction? I hate smoke and I don't see or smell any signs of a former smoker. Below you can see ALL the dummy lights illuminate properly upon startup with only the Check Engine light staying on during run. I ran the codes. Only ONE. "Evap Canister Purge Valve Fault" is it. Cleared the code and it came right back. I don't know what or where that is but I'm sure it's minor and very common. Please note, the car just passed Emissions in 2012(see tag below) so this is a recent thing. Also upon startup the Airbag light stays on for a minute or 2 then shuts off. Finally, and it's very random, but the TRAC/ABS lights BOTH illuminate every 3rd or 4th drive. Sometimes never for days, then twice in a day. I have logged well over 300 miles on this car to ensure it's reliability. I assume it's only a sensor since it only comes on after driving, not sitting. NO RESERVE!! Above you can see the 6 disc factory installed changer. Unseen is the complete full sized spare and jack setup. Also unseen is a very recent strong AC Delco battery installed. Below, the entire toolkit is intact and secure! Below: every factory manual, and extras, are included! Factory BMW Cassette Tape, emission PASS tag from 2012 and TWO (2) factory BMW keys are included! The engine compartment is as pretty as the rest of the car. Clean enough to eat off of. Engine starts right up and runs perfectly. No noises or chatter. Oil is clean. No overheating. Transmission shifts as it should. Brakes look to be recently new up front. No pulsing or noises. Drivetain is smooth and vibration free. Car drives straight with no unusual pulling or wandering. Suspension is tight and noise free. No squeaks, rattles, or pops. Air blows ICE COLD! Heat is HOT! Car is READY TO GO! Underneath I don't see any major oil or coolant leaks. No spots on my shop floor overnight. No buildups on the underside. Exhaust is quiet. The only thing that needs to be done under the hood, is replace the hood shock, as the old one won't hold the hood up. As stated, I've driven this car for weeks for well over 300 miles.
