This is a great original GB500. Theses were only made for two years in 1989 & 1990 this is a 1990 model. This machine has been meticulously taken care of but also ridden. The GB 500 models have been gaining steam in the collector world for the past few years for good reason. Visually, they are great. For Honda to bring some of the great British cafe racer styling to a bullet proof 500 single was a great idea, although certainly way ahead of its time. This bike is bone stock. Everything is in great working order and it's a true pleasure to ride. Cosmetically, this bike would probably be an 8 out of 10. There are minor scratches on the fuel tank near the Honda decals. They appear to have been made by a tank bag. I have photographed them.The tail section shows minor cracking at the fastening point. There is also contact scratching in the bottom of the silencer. Mechanically, this bike is extremely sound. Front and rear brakes are in perfect working order. The acceleration and fuel delivery are great and all electrics work. I did a 100 mile ride on this bike yesterday, and experienced no problems. It was quite enjoyable. These bikes are great machines for beginning riders and people who want the look of a classic British machine without the maintenance involved. The bike has just been serviced and received an A+ bill of health. The California title is clean, and the registration is current and good until April 2014.
