Up for auction is my 2000 Ford Crown Victoria natural gas powered (CNG) sedan with only 28k miles. I’ve owned this car for seven months and put just over 8k problem-free miles on it during that time. Prior to that, it was owned and maintained by a government agency. I really hate to see her go, but my wife says we have too many vehicles. This CV is equipped with 4 factory tanks (3,000psi - 12/13 exp) and 1 professionally installed aftermarket tank (3,600psi – 2/16 exp). The Ford Natural Gas Vehicle Owners Guide Supplement lists the standard (4 tank) fast-fill capacity at 8.6 GGE. I recently filled with 16.75 GGE, so the aftermarket tank nearly doubles the capacity. Typical in-town range is ~300 miles and I’ve traveled just over 400 miles on the freeway. HOV access carpool stickers are included, but were never placed on the car since we don’t have carpool lanes in Tulare County. While the car is in great overall condition, I need to point out that it suffers from the same paint issues as many other Fords of the same vintage. I’ve done my best to capture the paint anomalies in the photos, but you will notice there is bubbling, peeling and chipping in several locations. eBay limits the picture upload to 24, but I would be happy to email additional photos upon request.
