1998 Volvo S70 Non-Turbo Pennant Motors is pleased to present this beautiful 1998 Volvo S70. For those who haven't driven a Volvo, they are about the most comfortible cars ever made. The seats are almost too comfy to describe. These also feature Volvo's proven and legendary 5 cylinder engine. What makes this car so incredibly special is the fact that it has the extremely rare 5 Speed Manual Transmission. Aside from that, it is important to note that 1998 is THE year to buy when you're shopping for an S70. Starting in 1999, they began using the troublesome electronic "drive by wire" throttle, as well as electronic ignition. The 1998 models still use the older proven technology, which allows these cars to run forever with very little attention except for routine maintenance. A 5-Speed Manual non-turbo 1998 S70 such as this car is about as reliable as a car can get. Beautiful Tropic GreenColor. Carfax Certified ONE OWNER Vehicle! New Volvo Trade-In Well Maintained - Tune-up just completed. ULTRA-RARE 5 SPEED MANUAL TRANSMISSION The interiors of Volvos are spectacular. The tan cloth seats are in excellent shape, as are the dash and the carpets. The car has Volvo's Dual Zone automatic climate control which works properly. The car includes the original carpet floor mats which are in good condition. This car has Volvo's Premium Alpine audio with Cassette and CD. It works and sounds awesome (actually one of the best sounding car stereos of its era). For safety, this Volvo has, of course, dual front airbags, as well as SIPS side airbags. The car includes one original kes. The spare tire and jack are present, along with the original tool kit. The outside of this S70 is beautiful and is finished in a very difficult to find Tropic Green color. This color is quite desirable and not at all common on any Volvo. It was available on Volvos for nearly 10 years, yet you rarely see them in this color. The paint is in good shape, save for some scratches on the rear bumper from loading things in and out of the trunk. There is also some very slight fading on the roof which I couldn't get to show up in pictures. We have added a set of really pretty 16" Alloy wheels from a 2009 Volvo S60 which we think really make this car look much more handsome. I actually think they look better on this S70 than they did on the nearly new Volvo from which they were removed! The tires are in good shape and are all matching. The brakes are in very good shape with solid stops and no pulsation. The transmission feels perfect, and the clutch operates properly. All accessories have been tested and work. The car has recently had a full tune-up using genuine volvo parts including a distributor cap, rotor, wires, and plugs. Do not underestimate how difficult it is to find one of these Volvos with a Manual transmission! We sell hundreds of Volvos through our dealership, and have only ever had 4 or 5 Volvos come through which were manual transmission.
