For SALE is a 1988 Range Rover 40th Anniversary Edition. This is a one owner vehicle. I'll start by telling you that this car has been through 26 Chicago winters and it shows, however the vehicle has for most of those years been maintained by either the original dealer which was Bill Jacobs in Naperville IL or by our very well trusted mechanic and Range Rover specialist Rudy at European American Motors in Chicago. You can get the original sticker features anywhere on the internet or ask me later but I want to tell you about the particulars of this vehicle. This car is a tank...it always starts. The sunroof motor doesn't work so the sunroof is not operational The stock radio and speakers were replaced 13 years ago by a Panasonic single CD player with remote. The transmission has been replaced once in the mid nineties...no problems since. It comes with a really sturdy dog guard. Perfect for large dogs. It needs a new brake master cylinder. I have already bought it and can include it if the price is right. The Speedometer and mile counter are broken so even though it reads 100,000 plus miles, I would be willing to bet it's more than 300,000 at this point. The A/C doesn't work This is an excellent vehicle for short distances or for hauling construction equipment etc. I think it would probably be best if the buyer had some knowledge of this type of vehicle and some knowledge of engines, electronics systems etc. The rear cargo overhead door was replaced 2 years ago.
