this 300 was my fathers car, dad bought this car new in fall of 1967 in champaign,illinois. I have owned it for a few years after dad decided I could have it. had 48000 miles when I got it and have put 2500 miles on it in 20 years. last year in summer of 2012 my son and I pulled motor out and checked mains and rods and rings, cylinder walls had no runout and rings looked excellent. decided due to low cost of rings and bearings to install new since it was down. did a deglaze on cylinders and installed standered mains,rod bearings and standered rings. after starting car didn't notice no difference in running due to dads maintenance schedule over the years. this is the orginal milage on car. it has the original brakes,paint,exhaust, correct magnum exhaust manifolds, intake,valve covers,water pump and suspension components. we installed new fuel pump and new points distributor and carb. all of this is as close to original as possible. this car is a surviver as close as you can get.electric windows,tilt wheel and telescoping. head liner are excellent. drivers seat shows slight wear. all other seats has no wear. vinyl top shows signs of age cracking. windshield does have some cracks but passes state of mo. inspections. all lights work. the trunk lid lower edge has rust and some starting to show on lower panels.frame and trunk is good and solid. the original stainless steel wiper blades go with car. has a am radio and works fine along with map light. the ac does work and yes it is same compressor that came on car,converted it over to 134a and changed to ester oil in a/c system, blows 52 degrees. this car is being sold as my father is no longer here, he left this place for heaven in aug. of 2010. my son is not interested in it and no one is left in the family who wants it. I have no desire to keep it now. hopefully it will go to someone who likes the old cars. also with the car goes the certi-card, the loan papers where dad took out a loan and the payoff letter. all part of history of this car. whoever buys this car can fly or drive here and drive it home. the money this car brings will go towards getting the ntpa tractor super banana up and going again for events in ohio and other states.
