Vehicle Detail
2007 Chevrolet HHR LS Repairable / Rebuildable Salvage Vehicle It’s a 2007 Chevrolet HHR LS with a salvage title. This car is in pretty good condition. 107k miles on it. As you can see the car has had a front end collision but it does start up. It does run and lot drive. The car has a 2.2 Ecotech 4 cylinder engine and an automatic transmission. The engine and transmission are both in good shape and did not sustain any damage in the collision. The damage to the front is all sheet metal damage. There is no mechanical damage other than replacing the radiator, condenser, and fans. There is no visible damage to the frame rails. Basically the upper tie bar (core support) and a few attached pieces of sheet metal are damaged. Most of these parts can be straightened out. Then the bolt on sheet metal parts like the hood and fender need to be replaced. If you are trying to go the economical route you could probably repair these parts as well. However for a quality job I would recommend replacing both fenders and the hood. The left headlight is undamaged and is inside of the car. The right headlight is broken and will definitely need to be replaced. The front bumper cover and absorber are not present and will both need to be replaced. The airbags on this HHR did not deploy and the airbag light is not illuminated with the key in the on position. The airbag restraint system is functioning properly. This is a huge bonus because the parts to replace the airbags are expensive and the labor to replace those components can become tedious. The left front door has a large dent in it. Most of it should push out easily from the inside. I am not sure if it will come out completely. One wont know until the repair is attempted. It may require additional refinishing to be absolutely perfect, but unless you are trying to achieve perfection the door should look fine by just removing the interior trim panel and pushing the dent out from the inside. There is a fist sized dent on the rear bumper which can also be easily repaired or simply just left alone. The location of the dent is approx center of the bumper but low enough that it is not extremely noticeable. The remaining panels are in good condition less a few small nicks and scratches that would be considered normal wear and tear on a vehicle of this age. The interior of this car is in good shape and is fairly clean compared to many vehicles we see here. It is in need of a detail but there are no major stains, rips, or tears in the seats or rug. The previous owner may have been a smoker as there is a faint smell of tobacco on the interior. I am confident it will fade with a good cleaning. The wheels and tires are in good shape and have a good amount of tread left on them. The vehicles suspension system did not sustain any damage from the collision. All other components and systems of the vehicle appear to be complete and in good condition upon our visual inspection. The car does run and lot drive. Obviously it cannot be run for extended periods because there is no radiator, but it can be started and driven onto your transporter with ease.
