K code Mustangs are extremely rare, with factory high performance engines and suspension upgrades. A registry of K code Mustangs (produced from 1964 thru 1967). contains 960 documented vehicles. There are currently only two other registered 1966 K code fastbacks with this color and interior combination. Car was completly rebuilt over the past 5 years and has less than 750 miles since completion. Replaced floor pans, front torque boxes and rear quarters. The odometer is not from this car and have no idea what the true mileage is. Need to sell to make room in the garage. Emberglo Dupont Chroma base coat with clear on top. Factory color for this car. Interior: Pony emberglo with parchment GT. New foam and upholstery on buckets, Wood grain accents. Rally pac. Note correct steering wheel for this car. AM/FM cassette. Pony interior door lights. Engine: correect 289 C5AE block was bored and cylinders sleeved so it has a standard bore. Dual roller timing chain. Comp cams solid lifter street cam. Cobra alum intake and valve covers. Mallorey electronic ignition. Holley 650 double pumper carb with manual choke. chrome pulleys. Unique K code heads rebuilt with new valves/springs & seats for unleaded gas. Ceramic coated Tri-y headers thru Turbo exhaust mufflers. Engine runs great and is very fast! Trans: 4 speed T-10 rebuilt and shifts fine. Has the big bellhousing used on K codes with 11 inch centerforce clutch. Rear end was completly rebuilt using new bearings and seals. 3:25 gears in differential. This has an 8 inch rear end. Suspension: All new control arms, springs, perches, shocks and tie roads. Lined up perfectly. All new disc brake assembly on front. new drums/brakes on back. New 14 x 6 inch rally wheels and Cobra tires. !966 Fastback produced in Dearborn, MI. Washington clear title shows 1965 Mustang, which probably is reflected in the late 1965 build season and the transition to the 1966 mdel year. VIN is stamped on top of both inner fender wells about half way from shock towers to firewall.
