Vehicle Detail
The bike being offered is a 1966 Honda CB450 4-speed also known as the Black Bomber. This bike is a rare bike in great shape. This bike has gone through a lite restoration. The bike is mechanically sound and runs great through all gears and RPM ranges. The breaks are in perfect working order and the tires are new. The seat cover and foam have been reupholstered with an authentic replacement which include Honda name/badge on the back of the seat just like the original. The inside gas tank has been coated with a gas tank epoxy. Everything from the clutch, timing, carbs, and valves have been services as recently has November 2012. The battery is new as well. The tank, fenders, and side covers were all painted in 2012. The exhaust pipes do have some patches on them which cover some holes. This is extremely typical for this bike and bikes of this age. The original starter was just rebuilt and turns very strong. The starter will start the bike and the bike will kick start cold in 3 kicks or less. I have photo copies of an original factory service manual. This manual gives you every fine detail that is needed to do any work on this bike. Other than the items mentioned above, this bike is original and I have every reason to believe the miles are accurate. The bike has the original cables including the speedometer cable which works perfectly. Miles as of this posting are 9067. The title is clean and VIN numbers match appropriately. The bike is titled as a 1969 but the bike is a 1966. If it was a 1969 it would have been a 5 speed. The wiring harness has date markings that state 1966 and the VIN number is from 1966 as well. I was told that the bike was probably first sold in 1969 and that is why the title is such. Please feel free to email with any questions. I will assist in pick up and work with your transport company if needed.
