Vehicle Detail
Original factory 5 speed. On Apr-12-13 at 18:52:41 PDT, seller added the following information: I fixed the fan controller (AKA sword), the electric water pump failed and I bypassed it, heat still works. The HVAC temp control does not work; I suspect the air direction flaps which are stepper motor controlled. Don't know about the A/C, seems to hold gas, control system never turns it on. Driveshaft center bearing replaced, both upper rear shock bearings replaced Brakes are fine. I did replace the right rear caliper two years ago. When I bought the car the engine was blown. It came with a spare used engine on a pallet. It is out of a 535i, exact same M60B34 as was in the 735i, except the fan belt is a different length. Replaced water pump. I replaced the front and rear main seals while installing the engine. As well as the trans front and rear seals, and both side seals on the diff. There is a spot on the left rear just at the bumper line and on the right at the fuel door, photos attached. The bottom edges of all four doors are perforated with rust. I painted them with flat black Rustoleum. No fluid leaks.OnBoard Computer, OBC, has a mid of it's own works when it wants. But is fine when it works.Sunroof works. I have put about 3,500 mile on it in the 4 years I have had it. The major problems I have had, after the motor install, were the battery and the alternator. Both I replaced. My other concern would be the tires. They have maybe 3,000 miles left on the tread. I don't know the age of the tires. The most needed repair is the HVAC control system.
