Vehicle Detail
1988 IROC Z with a 5.7 (350) hp engine, automatic transmission. Im helping a friend sell this car, Her dad bought it new, She acquired it in the early 90's. It has been parked since 1996 in her garage. We had the gas tank and fuel pump replaced as well as gas lines blown out. It runs great. It has the original tires. The A/C has not been serviced. No paint work has been done on the car. I found one door ding on the bottem side of the drivers door. The hood and deck lid hydraulic cylinders need to be replaced which I will look for. Its a very nice original car. The reserve is fare allowing for money to be spent on any repairs it might need. If you have any questions please call 817 229 5838On Apr-06-13 at 10:29:38 PDT, seller added the following information: Apparently there is a descrepency in the mileage I was unaware of. I will check into it. On Apr-06-13 at 20:17:28 PDT, seller added the following information: I spoke with the owner, she said the 22,000 miles stated on the title check is definitely not correct, she said it was barely driven. I went through the console storage and found a receipt for an alternator replacement in June 1993, the paperwork shows the mileage at 13228. the receipt will be given to the buyer. other maintenance receipts dated earlier are present but nothing later. If I find any other information, I will list it.On Apr-08-13 at 16:12:47 PDT, seller added the following information: I drove the car today to check the speedometer, it is working. The tires needless to say have flat spots on them so will need to be replaced, The brakes are working and didnt see any leaks. The Texas state inspection sticker showing the car inspected in July 1996 and good through July 1997 has the mileage of 14179 written on the inside, I tried to take a picture of it but it didnt come through. The owner prefers cash at pickup but if cashiers check is used, the car and title will be held until the check clears. The car is really nice, The shop that serviced the IROC and brought it to life again are a bunch of great guys, they specialize in older classics and rods. The mechanic that serviced the tank is an ex GM mechanic and very familiar with the car. He's had two himself. they will be glad to describe the vehicle and their impression of the car to the winning bidder, (all good) The owner really wanted to buy it however the wife said absolutely not, he has too many already. The reserve is not far off from the current bid. Definitely under the road ready cars that have just sold. I personally want to buy it but I also have too many.
