NO RESERVE AUCTION!! BID TO OWN!! THIS CAR WILL SELL TO THE HIGHEST BIDDER!! Call Clint at 386-872-3955 for more information on this Beautiful IMPALA. For sale and your consideration is an extremely rare 1961 Chevrolet Impala Bubble Top equipped with a 348 Big Block V8 with 3 Dueces, and a 4 speed Muncie manual transmission. With copies of the previous title, as well as the amazing condition of the the Impala’s undercarriage, it appears to have only 39,000 original miles! I have owned the car for a year, and purchased it out of Tennessee. I was told by the previous owner that it was repainted 20 years ago when he purchased the car. He was a “Ford Guy”, so he rarely drove it! Well, the poor soul deprived himself of a great rush to drive and enjoy one of the most iconic Chevrolet’s ever built! The engine is date coded and casting number correct for the car, as well as the 3 x 2 Carburetors, believed to be the correct motor. The car was born with an automatic transmission, but has been upgraded to a 4 speed manual many years ago. I believe it is an SS clone, but could have been a dealer added package because of the age of badging, as well as the oval shape of the grab bar drill hole. In the early 60’s, it was common for dealers to add SS packages to left over cars on their the lot in order to sell them. It had been titled as an SS in its previous state of Tennessee, and Texas prior to that, which dates back over 30 years. But I am not representing the car as an original SS. Below is a breakdown of other casting numbers on the car: Block: 3755011 Engine Stamp: TII07HA Exhaust manifold: 3732793 Driver, 3732794 Pass. Bell Housing: 3899621 Trim Tag: Style – 61- 1837 Body AT11101 Trim 873 Paint 923 Stock Rear end w/ 3.36 axle ratio The paint is the correct Roman Red. For the age of the paint, it is in amazing condition. As you can see from the pictures, the gloss and shine is quite impressive. It is not perfect, but can still hold its own at any cruise night, car show, or even a judging event. Appears to retain its original sheet metal, fenders, quarters, doors. All of the chrome, bumpers, and stainless show very well. There are a couple of small imperfections, as noted in the pics. The undercarriage is just remarkable. Appears to retain its original floors, frame mounts, connectors, supports, and trunk pan. The car is virtually a survivor with one repaint 20 years ago! There is no evidence of bondo, rust, holes, bubbles, etc. It is extremely clean, and straight. The interior also shows very well. The sun gauges, tach, and 4 speed shifter gives the car an era correct factory hot rod look and feel. Carpet is new. The red/ivory two tone interior is correct for car. No rips, tears, or wrinkles. To add to the old school look and feel, the car is equipped with manual steering & manual brakes, and Generator. Stock rear and suspension. The Chevy runs great, shifts with ease, rides like a factory hot rod. Ample acceleration, tight car, with great lines and feel. The car is sitting on 15” American Racing Torque Thrust Wheels and New 15” Radial Tires. I am also including the original 14” Steel Wheels w/ spare, 4 SS Hubcaps with Spinners, and the jack system for the car! You can create 3 completely different looks with this car! The red steel wheels without hubcaps has that real race car look. Just awesome!! This is an ultra rare example of one of the finest Chevrolet’s Detroit has ever built. With low miles, big block power, and solid bones, makes this car a great opportunity to own. This is a turn-key drive and enjoy immediately classic Impala! I own this car personally, not in a dealer or business name. You are dealing directly with the owner!
