Vehicle Detail
Custom Café Racer Motorcycle 1981 Suzuki GS1100E The listed motorcycle is a complete custom restoration to a Café Racer. The donor motorcycle was a 1981 Suzuki GS1100E (One of the fastest production motorcycles of its day). I bought this bike from a gentlemen in Bullhead City, Arizona. He had purchased it from a neighbor that had it stored for over 10 years and just wanted it gone. The motorcycle when I purchased it had approximately 14,000 miles on the original factory odometer. The bike had an Arizona title, but it has been retitled and now has a CLEAR NEVADA TITLE. Every part, piece, bolt and nut on this motorcycle has been broken down, gone through and either painted, powder coated, polished, chromed or replaced with a new factory part. This bike was built over an eight month time period, with no expense spared and attention given to every detail. It is truly a one of a kind motorcycle. Most of the Café Racers seem to be built with smaller donor bikes, but this being an 1100cc bike gives it size and power. This bike starts right up, runs super strong and idles perfectly. The carbs have been completely gone through and rejetted, but there is still a slight throttle delay at lower RPM's. There is also a small oil drip that I have not been able to identify. It happens when the motor heats up and you might fined a couple small drips overnight. The bike can sit for several days and nothing else will appear. I mention these two items so there is complete disclosure of the condition of this motorcycle, which is perfect other then the two items mentioned. Below is a list of some of the items that were done during the build, but please feel free to email me any questions you may have. If you would rather speak over the phone, email me a contact number and I am happy to give you a call. Rear frame cut and modified. 16 gauge hand formed rear seat pan. Hand tooled custom two piece leather seat. (Hammered Hide Leatherworks of Las Vegas) 16 gauge hand formed side panels with factory badges and custom red hand pin-striping. Custom brake lines with chrome bango's (Spiegler Performance Parts) New 2.5" mini Speedo and Tach. New Clubman Handlebars (drilled for concealed electrical wires) / New Cables and New factory handlebar Switch Housings. Carburetors completely Rebuilt /Re- Jetted / Sonic Cleaned / Polished / Synchronized and adjusted for the removal of the factory air box. I do reserve the right to end the auction early as the bike is being advertised locally as well.
