1957 Chevrolet Pickup This totally customized 57 Chevrolet Pickup started its life in Southern California as a plan side-step pickup with a six cylinder. However, the folks at Protech Performance in North Hollywood, California saw a little bit more. Today, this truck has a very aggressive and clean look that turns heads everywhere it goes. This truck had a complete frame off restoration, and has been updated for the modern driver. Currently, this truck is located in Southern Maryland and is being used as a weekend driver. The truck has less than 3,500 miles, and is garage kept. It’s a very solid truck with no rust. It should be noted that there are some very minor chips/scratches in the paint; however, they would need to be pointed out. In fact, this truck recently place 3rd in class in a regional car show held in Washington, DC. This truck was competing against show vehicles (trailer babies, that aren’t driver at all) and still placed 3rd in class. So the imperfections are not bad, but should be shared with anyone willing to spend their hard earned money. Additions / Updates: Engine / Transmission: -Create GM performance Ram Jet 350 (fuel injected). GM Performance Parts put a modern twist on your favorite small block. This engine is a cast iron 2-bolt main, 1-piece main seal engines have approximately 9:4:1 compression with 350 hp at 5,200 rpm, and 400 ft/lbs of torque at 5,500 rpm. -It also has a create GM performance 350 automatic transmission. The 350 trans is an automatic shift, three speed transmission. It’s widely considered to be one of the greatest of automatic transmissions ever built. Chassis & Suspension: -The chassis and most of the components attached to the chassis were powder coated in gloss black. -The truck is riding on an Air Ride suspension complete with tubular (upper, lower, front & rear) control arms, with shockwaves bags in the front & back. It also has a four corner digital leveling system. Body & Fabrication: -There has been a lot of man hours put into the body and fabrication work, and it shows. There was a lot of fabrication work done on this truck. With a custom engine compartment; HID headlights; LED taillights; all new glass; new chrome; and a smooth body that highlight all the areas that are specific to this model year. You will agree that this is truly a one of a kind truck. Wheels & Tires: -This truck features a set of one off Boyd Coddinton wheels which are blacked out and staggered with 18x9” front and 20x10” rear. The wheels are wrapped in Nitto Extreme Performance NT 555 tires. Interior: -This truck has a customized cabin that is completely dynamated, with a new wiring harness; hidden battery; chrome tilt steering column, new gauge cluster, red leather upholstery & headliner; custom fitting red carpet; a custom stereo system that has GPS, satellite radio, and an IPOD adaptor is hook to four speakers, a 12” sub with a custom box.
