This car has been a great commuter car! It still gets around 23-27 mpg! Two brand new rear tires. The interior still looks good, with some wear and tear. The exterior needs repainted. The engine was rebuilt at 228,694 miles. The car runs good and has been my dependable, sole transportation for years. For someone who is mechanically inclined, this would be a great commuter car to save gas back and forth to work. This car is currently registered in SC, where there is no inspection required. You would have to do a little work on the car in order to pass inspection in a state that requires it. The car has maintenance records. I purchased the car in 2004 at 115K miles from a retired woman who maintained the car well. Repairs (this list is not inclusive): 292,830 miles: new rear tires (2) 270,890 miles: Ignition plugs, wire set, tune up 228,694 miles: full engine overhaul w/ new rod & main bearings 226,739 miles: transmission & coolant service, tighten drive belts 8/1/09: replaced serpentine belt 189,659 miles: replaced ignition contact switch Regular and routine oil changes Known issues: Needs brake work (ABS light stays on) Parking brake needs repaired. Missing back windshield wiper Front bumper damage (see photo) Clear coat is coming off, especially on the hood (see photo) Driver seat is more worn than passenger, so it sits a bit lower AWD is constantly engaged, but still drives OK The radio has been replaced with a CD/DVD with video display/USB charger/MP3 player, but the radio tuner itself doesn't work. I plug my phone into it and stream internet radio.
