Vehicle Detail

I have ridden bikes my whole life. This RT is my favorite. Getting too old to ride. Time for someone else to enjoy. I bought this RT from a gentleman with 7891 miles on it in 2008. It was in mint condition then and is a 9+/10 now. The bike has always been garaged when not in use, and winterized during off months. I use synthetic oil and OEM filters. Last August I had the big 24K mile tune-up and valve adjustments done by BMW Motorcycles of Omaha. Invoice is included in the pics. The bike has never been down, on it's side or in any type of accident. There are no problems of any kind with the bike. It is ready to go anywhere. There are some boot scuffs on the hardcase opposite the muffler. I tried to show them in the pictures, but they look much worse than it really is. Also, the cover on the On Board computer has a mark on it from my helmet. I replaced the OEM windshield with a V-Stream from Technik for better coverage. I bought an aftermarket top case from Calvary and had it painted Titan Silver to match the bike. It is lockable and can hold a full face helmet. I added Illium highway pegs for long distance riding comfort. When not in use, they fold under the cylinder heads. They are pictured in close ups of the cylinders. I also bought Illium handlebar risers which makes for a more relaxed ride. Search Illium for more details. Scratch guards on the tank for protection. The previous owner added 2 Spark cylinder covers. The number one complaint about this bike is the BMW seat. Hard and uncomfortable. I replaced it with a heated Corbin leather seat that is adjustable. It was expensive ($800), but the best money I ever spent. The bike does not have ESA (electronic suspension adjust) . I put on Metzler Z6 tires on at 20k miles. They still have another 5k miles of use on them. The reserve is low, but fair.
