Vehicle Detail
Up for auction is a 1964 Triumph Tina scooter. These are so rare to find for sale and in running condition outside of a museum. Ive done extensive research on this model and have found that less than 25 are known to exist world wide and less than half of those in even running condition. It has an older restoration with all original parts. Cosmetically its overall about a 7 but your scale is probably different than mine. It is 95% original, with the 5% being new Michelin tires and tubes and various nuts and bolts. It has the very rare factory fairing, it has the low windshield on it now since the clear high one is broken. It is a 99cc two stroke engine and the first production scooter to be an automatic, just twist and go! This would make a fine piece to put in any collection. I will ship to the lower 48 states but buyer is responsible for ALL shipping costs and arrangements. Please ask questions before you bid!!! Visit our store for more items!!On Mar-22-13 at 11:00:56 PDT, seller added the following information: In answer to a question, the paint is not original, the scooter has an older restoration with original parts as Ive said. It is a metallic blue and ivory. On Mar-22-13 at 11:38:03 PDT, seller added the following information: In answering more questions about this scooter, the only thing I believe it needs is the main lighting switch, I believe it is a Wipac #88SA but Im not positive, the only hard part that is not original is the spare tire mounting bracket which was custom made, the speedometer says 680 miles on it and I have a clear Virginia title in my name.On Mar-23-13 at 06:50:59 PDT, seller added the following information: I was asked to put that its not world wide but in the US. Apparently an ebayer has told me that there are "100's" of these in the UK, yet no one has ever seen them but him, so for his sake I am ammending my description because I am not in the UK and can not physically track these "100's" of scooters down, even though Ive talked to many many people in the UK and have heard a much different story from others and the Triumph owners club and the Triumph scooter registry.
