Vehicle Detail
Today I have a 1974 Chevrolet Camaro for sale.....This car is very original and shows..... This is not a car I would take apart. It is so original looking it needs to be shown and used and driven the way it sits. This Camaro represents the 70s perfectly. The paint shows in great condition and is a older paint job, could be original. I do not know if paint is original but it looks very nice, I did not see any multi layered paint at all. The hood has one blemish its hard to see but is there. It looks like the carb bolt at one time was a little long and put a small dent in the hood. The body is in excellent condition. There are very few dents, that are a few but only on the side of the vehicle and are hard to see. I would take pics of minor body flaws but they are so minor they don't show up. There are a few minor minor chips and I didn't want to touch them up because they are very minor. The body has NO RUST. This is a true ARIZONA RUST FREE car. All the glass is in fantastic condition with no chips, cracks, or hazy look. It has been garage kept to be in this condition. All the spot welds and seams all over the car including the door jams, floor boards, any tight spots, low spots, underneath of car etc. are RUST FREE. If you are looking for a clean, RUST FREE, dent free, straight, original 74 Camaro with a super low reserve that you can drive anywhere tomorrow, and PRICED TO SELL, this is the car. You won't find a classic hot rod in better shape for less money. I took it to a car show a few days ago and people were very shocked with the original condition and brought a good crowd and enjoyed seeing a true example of a 70s factory look. The rims are not original but are period correct. The rims are in near perfect condition. The tires are in excellent condition and do not need replacing anytime soon. All lights turn signals, wipers, vent fan work as they should. The gas gauge works sometimes (probably loose wire by tank) The speedo is currently not working but was working a few months ago. The mechanic took gear out to get it more accurate. This is an AC car but compressor is not there, I believe the compressor went bad and no one replaced it. All other items for AC are there. The engine I was told from Chevy mechanic who owned the car said motor was rebuilt. I don't know if engine is original or rebuilt. The engine has new carb and aluminum intake. Does not detract from car and those are the only modifications I can see other then the msd ignition box. It runs perfect and starts and drives and brakes straight. The previous owner (Chevy mechanic) drove it the last 6 months to dealership as his daily driver. 5 miles each way. New power steering pump, hoses, belts etc. There is a very small oil drip on oil pan but doesn't hit the floor. When you look close at the engine you can see all the gaskets are new and it is a very clean engine. I pulled a number off the rear of the engine and checked some resources and it is a 350 used between 1968-1977 and was used in a 1974 Camaro #3970014 last number has a zero with a line through it. I don't know if motor is original. There is no knocking or ticking in motor, it is smooth (check out video on youtube "BEIGE 1974 CAMARO BOB B"). Its fun to drive and handles great and like a 74 Camaro should. There are a few cosmetic things but are all minor and are the easy fun things to fix like the headlight knob is missing. The interior door panels are in great condition with no cracks tears or stains. I think the carpet at the bottom of the door panels are faded but many people said that is the original color. The dash has a small amount of heat damage. It is bowing up just a little but not horrible. It is not cracked from heat. The only thing the interior needs to make it complete and very nice is the seats re-done and carpet. The seats and carpet are original and the carpet is long shag, which was original. I probably forgot something but if you want an easy Camaro to work on that is DRY, striaght clean and RUST FREE original ARIZONA CAR that you can hit the street with tomorrow and enjoy then bid to win because I want to sell it. Please only bid if you have the money and intend to buy. I have sold 4 other antique cars on ebay and they sold cheap and my reviews are 100%. They were AZ cars as well. I love the AZ clean rust free classics. HARD to find!!! Any questions please call me. Name is Bob 602-446-8818 GO TO YOUTUBE FOR VIDEO. Search BEIGE 1974 CAMARO BOB BOn Mar-22-13 at 09:49:47 PDT, seller added the following information: I forgot to add a pic of the engine. Unfortunately I have all 24 pics and can't ad or delete once the listing has started and has bids. If you need a view of the engine send me a question through ebay and I will send you one. The engine is VERY clean. Also go to the video and it shows the engine. Thank you.
