1983 Honda V65 Magna Custom Bobber This auction is for a 1983 V65 Magna project bike. This was the world’s fastest production bike when it was introduced in 1983! The stock motorcycle ran 10 second quarter mile times in the hands of a professional. Front end has been lowered 2 inches. Rear has been lowered 2 inches as well and is rigid. The stock shocks are also included in the auction. Bike is set up with a solo seat and bobbed fender for a super low ride and awesome look. Very bright LED tail light with integrated turn signals is mounted on the fender. The license plate is side mounted and has LED lighting as well. Front brake, rear brake, and clutch master cylinders have just been rebuilt with all new components. All three brake caliper assemblies have just been rebuilt with all new components, including new brake pads. Front forks have just been rebuilt with new components, including oil change, and new seals and dust seals. Low profile drag bars give it a one of a kind look. Front and rear wheels have been stripped, bead blasted, and painted, and have had new bearings installed. Brand new Shinko 712, 100/90H-18 and 777, 150/80H-16 tires are mounted and balanced; they have zero miles. New battery is installed – electrical system is fully functional with the exception of the headlight, which is missing. Bike starts and runs, but motor has a rattle that has not been identified. Could be a bearing or a cam? Carburetors were just rebuilt, with new gaskets, needle and seat, etc. I have a signed off Indiana title from the previous owner that is not in my name. I have put many hours into this bike, but financial challenges force the sale of some of my toys. This bike would make an excellent donor bike or a mostly finished project for someone with a little time. The reserve is set very low, and the auction will probably close at far less than the value of the new parts alone!
