Vehicle Detail
I am selling a 1969 Plymouth Roadrunner classic project muscle car that is a real RM 23 ( Roadrunner Mid Level 2 door 383 cid 335 horsepower ) that still retains the original 383 cid engine,( numbers matched VIN) and has the 4 speed transmission still attached to the engine, which at this point i can not verify it is the original, nor the rear axle, but all indicates it is. The interior is missing, but still retains the front and back seats. The dash , instruments and steering wheel are intact. All the glass is missing except for the vent windows, The drive-shaft is missing. The pistol grip shifter is missing. The bumpers , grill and front and rear lights are still intact. Original wheels are on the car. The original color to the car is believed to be B3 blue, but it sports a jet black color from a paint job back over 20 years ago. Floors look ok and trunk floor ok, except for areas on the rear floors that have rusted. Some bubbles on lower doors, and small area on rocker. I have not attempted to start engine, nothing is hooked up, it sits just like i got it and sits inside a barn. The 20 plus year old paint job is cracking in some parts, as some thin bondo on hood area . The body overall looks to be a prime candidate for a restoration, it could even be left like it is as a daily driver. Its not often you find a car like this with original motor!!! I will try to inspect transmission again to verify it is also matching to the original drivetrain. I have tried to describe the Roadrunner to you as a prospective buyer. If you have questions, please don't hestitate to contact me 832 236 1425 i will try to get back to you as soon as possible. I hope one of you Mopar fans will put it back on the road, and find it a warm home!!! BUYER TO ARRANGE SHIPPING IF ANY, SOLELY AT BUYERS COST. CAR IS LOCATED AT ZIP- 78552 $ 500.00 PAYPAL DEPOSIT DUE WITHIN 48 HOURS AFTER CLOSE OF AUCTION, REMAINDER OF PAYMENT DUE IN CASH AT TIME OF PICK UP. Thanks for viewing! On Mar-22-13 at 15:54:04 PDT, seller added the following information: Additional Information i wanted to add as far as casting numbers off engine parts and the 4 speed transmission. The right side cast iron exhaust manifold looks like it reads- 2806900 Left side exhaust manifold looks like it reads- 2843992. Water pump looks like 2780987. As far as the transmission case,,casting -C-97622. Also shows casting numbers- PP83323430128. I am believing it still may not be original transmission, because stamped numbers were as follows- 8D211138 with small stamped numbers below- 0128 (january 2nd, 1968?) I did pull the back seats off,,not revealing a broadcast sheet . I hope this info helped..
